XMAS Butter Cookies! V/GF
Vegan and gluten-free butter cookies!
How I made them 👇
~ 1/2 cup vegan butter, softened
~ 1/2 cup icing/ powdered sugar
~ 100g 1:1 gluten-free flour
~ 28g all purpose gluten-free flour
1) beat vegan butter for 1 minute, then sift in sugar and beat for 5 mins, until white and fluffy
2) sift in flours and beat until a thick paste is formed (30 seconds to 1 minute)
3) pipe dough into shapes on a parchment lined baking sheet and chill in the fridge for 30 minutes
4) bake at 350° for 15 mins, or until the edges are slightly browned, baking 1 sheet at a time
5) **optional** drizzle chocolate overtop, or add sprinkles before baking! Personally I like them better without but it's fun to decorate 🤗

I have eczema and lately it's become worse. I wondered if anyone else had the same issue and followed a gluten dairy free plan and their skin has become better?
Looks like there is room in the baking pan for a couple of potatoes

Did anyone notice any withdrawal or negative effects of quitting gluten? I have been super fatigued with stomach pain for a couple years now, and am just now being told to stop eating gluten, what should I expect?
@@ShaddyTTV I didn’t experience any negative effects(I’m diagnosed celiac)! You should honestly start feeling better within 1 week! If anything, it takes time to heal, so don’t expect to feel amazing and perfect right away!
@@carley_ad thanks a bunch. On my second full day of eating gluten free, just stocked up on a bunch of food to eat. Going to give it a shot. Been very fatigued and brain fogged for about 2 years now. Hoping it helps!

Just wanted to tell you thank you for posting! I have Celiac disease but I want to be vegan. I feel like there aren’t enough celiac vegan influencers. All of these recipes look so good!

I find being gluten free (almost 2 weeks now) to be nothing but depressing and miserable, not to mention isolating....
I also make that, sooo delicious on sammies. I also leave in the fridge just for snacking, to get more protein

Just got the diagnosis of celiac. At 63 the damage to my body is immense. I started complaining in 2002 about my problems. I was diagnosed with Hashimoto and nobody said test for Celiac . I now halve neuropathy on top of everything el
I'm sorry it took so long for them to figure out everything that was wrong! At least you know now, my mom was around the same age as you when she found out, a lot of the symptoms are reversible over time, it took me a year if not more to heal my gut. Look into other autoimmune diseases related to celiac as well, there are some out there!

Hye there, do we need to be gluten free when disgnose celiac disease? Or normal people also need to start gluten free diet?
If you can eat gluten with NO issues and you don't have celiac disease, there is no reason to NOT eat gluten! If you are getting tested for celiac disease they usually make you eat gluten to see how it affects your blood. If you can eat gluten = do it. If you can't eat gluten = don't.

@@Omaniforever123 I didn’t measure anything but here are the ingredients 🤗 - cold decaf or regular coffee - plant based milk - vegan vanilla coffee creamer - vegan hot chocolate powder - plenty of ice!! Measure to your liking and enjoy!

I haven’t eaten wheat for 1 and a half years and I feel much better also it seems from scientists if ur gluten free, u also have ADHD so for the ppl who are gf make sure to get tested for ADHD to : it will make a big inpact in ur life

I dont even know what to eat. Everything i ate had gluten 😂 Im hungry, but working out of town and have no idea what to do.
@@JoshuaTraffanstedt nooooo that’s honestly one of the hardest things!! I always go for Mexican restaurants, or try to grab some things from the grocery store like crackers, hummus, veggies, fruit, and sandwich ingredients!

I had endoscopy, no big deal, was asleep.
After it was done I was surprised at how simple and quick it was!
I have baked a gluten-free item and its so good warm, but even sitting out a few hours changes texture and its just not as good. With scones, i just bake what I'm gonna eat and freeze rest of dough. I froze burger buns i made so will see how they are once thawed.
Yess, totally agree, a lot of gf items are best the day they're baked - which can totally be a pain lol I don't even try breads, but most cookies/cupcakes/ brownies I make I find last for a couple days!
