A little word of advice in case you ever have to do this project again you're bigger brush that you used not the pad will always work better however try not to dry brush when you are applying your stain color or paint or clear coat or anything that pertains to this line of work try not to be afraid to put product on your brush it'll go on a lot more even and it will level out as it dries still a good job
Or: Use wood and do the job in 1/10th of the time.
Wow that is creative, I love it.
Amazing job well done guys 🤝👍👍
What chemicals do you use for something like this is there a top coat that you can use that you don't need to apply every 5 weeks ?
Can this be done on a driveway? Up to the point without the cut in of the boards?
Sorry, but it doesn't really look anything like real wood, and the amount of work involved is beyond ridiculous. There are no circumstances under which I would do this.
Wondering how does the finish product feel on bare feet????
I did the custom tile for the man who came up with the micro-topping idea. He moved here from Florida with his family after selling the company. They built a compound at the foot of the mountains and built three custom houses, one for he and his wife and one each for his adult son and daughter lol. His name is David Thomas.
This looks amazing!!🎉❤
11:43 these first processes remind me of when I’m applying gesso to a canvas
Would've been nice to see the finished product.
SUBURBANITES🤣 get a life!
beautiful... a lot of work.
can tape the edges with tape or stake a board or ??? around the edges.
Would this wood stain work on a stamped walkway??
Absolutely beautiful
I am trying to get my wood to look like concrete : )
Professional job, brother tks
This is so great, but I'd personally pay someone to do this. Its too complicated for me. You guys are very talented!
15:53 you guys are really doing that bad boy🧐🕺🏽
That is so awesome!!!
Hi, can you give the name and product number of the brown stain you used?
Great demonstration. My son did this but his faded really bad. Y’all did a good job.
Thank you for sharing - not sure I want a wood looking floor that feels like concrete - why? When I use and live with wood it is not just for the look but also the feel
That looks sick, 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
I don’t understand. so you had a concrete deck and the first thing you did was make another layer of concrete? for what?
Fuck that...make your concrete look like grass.
Do they ever show the products they used? I don’t wanna watch the whole thing if they’re not going to tell me what products are using.
A couple of questions as I live overseas and will be doing this alone with lots of young kids interrupting me constantly 😂 1) what exactly is in (or how would I ask for) the base coat, microconcrete, stain, and sealant? I'm not sure what to look for here as all the materials will be in another language. Most buildings are made out of concrete here so concrete in general is commonly used but I've never seen micro concrete in the building supply stores. All the porches are tiled concrete. I've never seen stained concrete here so need to know how to specifically ask for the individual materials. I see a lot of these materials are your own make. Do you ship to other countries? 2) approximately how how many hours would one fit person need and does any stage need to be done all at once or can i do this one section of my porch at a time as I have a free hour here or there? If I need to level the concrete of our porch anyway, which will mean framing and pouring a leveling layer on top of the existing concrete can I just mix micro concrete into that to get a smoother finish than standard concrete, or do I make the leveling layer itself micro concrete over the adhesion layer? Thanks! I actually had thought of somehow pouring the leveling concrete and making it look like plank decking by pouring resin ot something and pressing a wood plank concrete mold that I already own on top, but this seems like it would be better. Probably cheaper than buying all that resin I think... Any opinions on applying a thick resin stain to existing concrete and using the mold to form a wood pattern instead? I'm trying to think what is the cheapest and least amount of work as I'm single mom diying this in my "spare" time
Should have just left it grey. Clear it or something for depth and sheen.. but grey looked amazing
How does it look like now?
Great team work!
But he does have a great helper….YOU!
Looks great but way way way too much work I’ve been in the concrete business for 15yrs a diamond blade on a grinder and acid stain could have done the same over a weekend
Great work.
Classy !
Will that thin layer crack ????
Do you have any videos of long term wear on these porches?
Where diy you get those squishy s?
How long does the process take from start to finish?
What color is the stain???

I feel that using ceramic tiles that look like wood might be a faster and more resilient floor. But wow, this looks really good!
How ironic... people with beautiful hard wood floors and cabinets indoors are painting them gray, black, or white, and now the wood tone color is coming outdoors.😅
That looks absolutely gabuy
… for safety mask 😷 up
I enjoyed watching this! Some DIY videos are full of unnecessary talking, this adds just enough info and humour to be informative and entertaining. Great job!
Wow! That looks great 👍🏼
can you do mines lol
