Vintage 33 looks interesting. Still searching for a portra 400ish lut

Really clear explanation of the principal of allowing a telephoto lens to focus closer by using extension tubes. I pushed the boat out (it was a big boat, and I pushed it a long way) to buy an Olympus 150-400mm but was frustrated to find that I couldn't use it to photograph dragonflies around our pond, so I've ordered some Keno tubes off of eBay for a good price. It seems that everyone reckons they're the best. I'm looking forward to trying the combo out.

What were your shooting settings like iso , shutter angle etc

Was a silly video and told me nothing, also, I've seen personally and have video of the moon moving faster that the 10x speed in this video. It was moving north - south!!! And stoped halfway across the sky and went back to its original position! Was only a few minutes from it starting to move till it returned to its original spot and continued it regularl orbit

How can noise be judged by overexposing the image? The exposure should be the same for all iso

Ah yes, the "spinning earth" which has a pressurized environment which exists next to a vacuum without any barrier, while also apparently orbiting the sun at the center of our solar system, which itself is also hurtling through an ever expanding "outer space" created by a "big bang" that wasn't just conjured up by the Jesuit church - oh wait, it was. CLOWN WORLD.

Been there, done that and believe me, it's scary close. Those guys got the boat through with maybe an inch and a half clearance each side on the 42 footer we had.

I steered the USS Enterprise(CVN65) under the Golden Gate Bridge back in the mid-70s

I have done that bridge in a sailing boat. Unfortunately before the days of video.

Where is the first conversion LUT from VLOG to Rec709 found? It is not included in the 35 LUTs from Panasonic.

This was really intriguing and I did my own tests as well! Thanks for sharing this. I found that this is definitely ideal if you can control the level of the scene pretty easily. However, when you have a naturally very contrasty image with bright highlights, and you have to exposure as to not clip those, if it brings your subject to a place where they can't be exposed higher, it will not be as clean. Particularly in low light situations as well. It will be super noisy overall if you shoot in high ISO and you can't get your subject to be well exposed to the right. So pairing a well lit scene with high ISO and ND to stop down as need, shooting at 3200 was the cleanest in my findings! And shooting at 400 iso was cleanest with low light (I'm talking middle of the night with only a literal medieval torch lighting my subject) but obviously I'm accepting that I will have no detail in my dark dark portions of the image, but it's better than the noise of shooting high ISO to me. All very surprising, and really changed what I always assumed which was to just shoot in the lowest ISO possible for any situation lol

I love 90 mm as in Nikon aps equals to a perfect 135 macro lens
