I've been saying to my therapist for a while now that if I had a painless way out available to me at any moment, it would very likely significantly reduce my suicidal ideation, because I wouldn't have to worry about it anymore; if I ever got to a point where my life is strictly not worth continuing, I could just leave.

But the experience of actually finally discovering other sane people was beyond description. in my opinion you can still love animals even if you eat them. as long as your willing to spare them when you can. ( fun fact i tried being vegan and hated it ngl)
you can spare them always, there is literally no situation where its necessary. I am poor and have one of the most severe autoimmune disorders in the world where i am quite literally allergic to everything but water, and i am still vegan with ease. EASE. Even including the medications i take. It took some digging but i am on substances that are both vegan and cruelty free. also if you kill someone to save your own skin i dont consider that love, so nah i still would disagree. its only okay to people when they devalue nonhuman animals in a caste system and that is never love. its subjugation and supremacy, power structure, demeaning and belittling. and just because humans do that to other humans and nonhuman animals do that to other nonhuman animals doesnt make it okay. also if you hated being vegan youre just outing yourself as a really bad chef with no awareness of 90 percent of the culinary world across the globe. also as someone whos really addicted to the casomorphins in others unwillingly taken body parts and breastmilk. A sadist addicted to products of violence with very limited awareness beyond themself, if you will.

sadly this video was taken at a friend of a friends house. i was not aware that they were purchased from slavers and kept for slaughter. they ate them all. i never spoke to any of them again. this video haunts me but i wont ever take it down. i had named the quail that couldnt walk straight Wobbles. i was there trying to help it recover. they just killed it later instead.
