Nice guitar... but that headstock, oof.

Starting to see a trend with pricing and it may only be the start. When your choice is between having food on the table or buying a new guitar we can see where this is going. The market is already flooded with guitars so much so that even Fender is going to start making fewer guitars. Keeping my powder dry for now in anticipation of even better deals to come. My guess is that there are a ton of barely played recently purchased guitars that are going to be available as people start to realize how hard it is to play the guitar start letting them go to pay the bills. We've all seen the used guitars priced higher then new so used prices have to come down if they want to sell so the market is going to capitulate, it's only a matter of time. When a brand new MIM Fender Tele can be had for less then $500 at retail like the one Joe pointed out recently, what's a fair price for used? Maybe $250-300? The used market could get very interesting in the near future.

Made in usa or China? Epiphone charging over 1k for made in China now.

Wish I can afford multiple expensive guitars. Some of the squire paranormal series are interesting, with different configurations. Even used, fenders still go for as much as when its on sale. Its worth buying new, unless you want an older made in mexico fender. Everyone is practically selling used for the price of new these days.

7:35 this part of the demo reminds me of Adam Sandler's "Hanukkah Song" and now it's stuck in my head 😅 I bought a Debut Squier (for a fun project) and it's really nice on it's own... so to hear that the Tease is better in a lot of ways makes me want one even more lol Thanks as always Joe 👍

Playing both I much rather pay the little extra for the Tease you get much more guitar for the $145 it’s easily a $600 guitar

What about a comparison between the two tease models? St-2 and the st-1? The stainless frets are nice on the st-1, but the st-2 has alnico pickups and cheaper. The st2 has a lefty model, which I prefer.

Poplar is a light wood Basswood can very heavy. I would lean towards the squire without playing either one.

ST-1 SPR has a swimming pool route for easy - simple loaded pick guard drop ins. The ST1 ( standard) does not. It also has nickel frets andcstandard tuners.

I'm a big cheerleader for Tease. I love mine and the fact that you can literally DM with the owner of the company in real time right on their website is a huge added value. Having said that, I will eventually grab a debut squier because I can't resist having one matte finish strat in my arsenal.

I emailed the guy and he responded back with neck depth measurements. We really have to support people who work hard and make an effort. The Tease is clearly a better guitar, as you point out. Stainless steel frets? Are you kidding? Also, I prefer a bit more finish than less because it makes it easier to clean.

They're both great Strats. If I had to pick one, it would be the tease. Tonewoods are irrelevant, but the tease has a full size body .... So literally more guitar for the money.💜

Good comparison. But who thinks up these names though? Tease?? I'd sooner buy a guitar named Cedarsky or Sparkfire or Echotone than one named Tease.

I have wanted one of these for a long time. But after buying, I'm disappointed. I do like the neck, I like the Candy Apple color. But that's about it. Came in three boxes, which is suspicious to me. The weight was 8.2 lbs!. The volume knobs wiggles and is unstable. Fret buzz on E & A. I could go on and on. Plus it's going to be a pain repackaging. I kept saying I can fix it, but even with the low price I'm going to have to return.

I really need a tele, had the same exact color in 2015ish MIM didn’t bond with it. Splurged on a Nash, loved it but couldn’t afford to keep it had to pay those dang NY taxes every year….not no more😎🤙

In the UK they are selling these for £129.99 which equates to $173.97 They are just not worth it here! you can get a Jet or a Harley Benton with much better specs for this money

That's a great deal. I bought the hard tail version in Claret Burst a few months ago from Adorama. It was $299. Adorama has some excellent deals from time-to-time.

Maybe a lot of fellows cannot afford a $1200 Fender guitar!

Squire are made by fender, a lot of people don't concider a squire a fender but they are wrong "squire by fender"

I wonder if these color is like the equivalent in the vehicle world where they say “gray” is their scratch/dent/accident in the factory re-dos. I know that was probably a myth back in the day, but from their listing that’s the only one on sale🤷🏻‍♂️

I have mixed feelings about Gretsch. I love the models without the Bigsby but I feel the cheaper import Bigsby's are not the best quality (although definitely more stable than the similarly imported "licensed by Floyd Rose" tremolos you find on cheaper Jackson and Ibanez guitars). Im more of a metal/grunge player so I got rid of my Gretsch but they are gorgeous looking guitars and their filter'tron pickups are awesome.
