I'm sorry I didn't make the memorial. I was worried and concerned about trying to drive home in the forecasted snowstorm this afternoon for the Kansas City area. I am so sad to hear of Vince's passing and have a lot of great memories of Vince from my times that I spent with him. I will miss Vince and it hurts my heart that he is now gone. Thank you Dennis and Karen for all you did for Vince to make his dream of having a skatepark happen.

Getting others to be quiet was not an option?

Viewing the service at home is a blessing to me, and I thank you for it. The number of meals packed for hungry people is outstanding! 40,000 and now with the newest donation 45,000 is remarkable ! I think the homily was extremely important in making people become cognizant of all of the people in our lives, that service for minimum wage, and are usually ignored, and even complete strangers who are passing by, give us a chance to say a kind and meaningful hello and nod of the head. I especially enjoyed the healing prayer ideas while those blessed with being able to be there in person were receiving bread and wine. The various examples of others needing prayers helped to focus the thoughts and bring so many in our lives to mind by remembering what prayers so many would benefit from. And a sincere thank you for the blessing that you give to those of us who are at home.Thank you so much.

The service at 5:30 was perfect for that age group (and for this 82 year old❤) and the evening service was outstanding in the homily given and the beautiful choir.❤❤ thank you so much for having this available on UA-cam for those of us unable to come to the service. I recall three pastors at FLC: Jessen, Carolyn Myers, and one other whose name escapes me. . . male, dark hair and a mustache, and a good sense of humor (based on a remnant of a camp memory). Maybe someone here can refresh my memory on his name!
