The bass line is so killer!

I was 11 and 1/2 years old in the Summer of Love when I first heard this fabulous song at Camp Northland. It also played on 1050 CHUM on the radio in our white with red interior '63 Pontiac Laurentian four door sedan... Graaaa!!. Our mom's RCA kitchen radio was tuned to CKEY and I would turn up the volume when it played any Buckinghams songs (since I could finally reach the top of the fridge). I miss you our dear sister Elaine ז״ל.

I’m almost 60 years old, and grew up to a vast majority of rock music before the disco/MTV bullshit arrived. Foghat wasn’t one of my favorite bands, but I sure knew who they were. “Fool For The City” was a good song. And when “Third Time Lucky” was released in the summer of 1979, I (age 15) especially liked that track. Until recently, I never knew “Take It Or Leave It” existed. Even from back in the ‘70s I never heard this track. Not radio, not cassette, album, single--never. And yet, I now consider it Foghat’s best. 👨🏻‍🦳🇺🇸😊🇺🇸🎸🇺🇸🎶🇺🇸
