Bending more aluminum on the aluminum break! #construction #generalcontractors #aluminium
Great tips!
Thank you, thank you, thank you soooo very much for the best instructional video!! Especially explaining the process of cutting around the posts crayola-style for people like me, who has had her brain fried working on my deck while having beautiful sunny, 90-degree weather with the deck in full sun all day. You, sir, are my hero!!! Thank you!!!
horrible job
Thanks for sharing your knowledge and methods. It helps
Hey not to nit-pick. But your drop beams aren’t attached to your 4x4 post to code. The beams shouldn’t be attached to the side of the post. The post should be notched and the beam should be resting on the 4x4 if that makes sense. You have a serious potential for the beams to sheer off. An easy fix is to install DJT14Z brackets to the post and beam. Check out the manufacturer specs on those brackets
Second question; did you use the Camp tool with the 3/16 spacing?
Hi thank you the tips on how to picture frame. Did you make cutouts on the post that supports your beam?
My son had a log cabin in the woods. His roof looked just like that. Gently pressure washed that roof with a 1800 psi 1.2 GPM gas pressure washer. Turned out looking like new. We figured if it didn’t clean up we would have to replace it so we took a shot out it. I think the moss probably protected the roof underneath.
Moss is a perfect roof used to build many wilderness survival huts! But the customer prefers the look of shingles instead 😂 I think the moss protected it there was only one small wet spot on the ply wood
Looks great
Thank you!
Hi! New sub here :) I’m not into carpentry but starting to get into it for just DIY stuff. How are those posts in the ground securely? It looks like like they’re attached to concrete but then what’s the concrete holding onto?
There are strong tie 4x4 post legs that get anchored into the concrete then the 4x4 post is installed! The concrete is poured in a 48 inch deep 12 inch wide round sono tube they work great for deck footings!
I'm scared of the back deck lmao
😂😂😂
Unfortunately I see you did it the wrong way my friend. That post it is going to get damage as the other one did.😢
Hey my wrong way might be the only way the customer could afford!
I see you left the rock cleanup for the owners
Actually I took some of the rocks away with me the owners having her landscaper re scape and edge this for them!
@@TravisShafer it's always good when someone gets to finish up for you 🙂
Nothing better! Free time and free money for someone else to do it!
My friends joke that I live in a rock garden. Come show me how to do that neat trick you do with them diggers 😂 50 bucks says you can't
Definitely not always easy digging I get lucky from time to time this was all top soil!
@TravisShafer I do envy the suburb yards for that reason. Nice easy mowing and digging. Around here it's all chipped blades and raw palms , enjoy that soft dirt for me one time 😂
I pulled a few scoops out for the homies! I too live in rock city USA 😂
@@TravisShafer that's too perfect 🤣🤣
@TravisShafer wait do you mean rock city as in Lookout mountain? I'm from Marion County, About 45 minutes northwest of there
Your so good at voicing over the short 🎉
I try thank you!
I think a mustache looks good on you man, the deck also looks absolutely beautiful, great work
Hey thanks! I appreciate a good mustache from time to time! Check the page out once and a while to see more of my work!
Damn
Here in cape cod we call those knee walls
Spackle??? lol
Why you have so many joints?
Just the way things worked out!
Why wouldnt you router it
I Don’t have a router and I prefer to slice!
Try not to make a joint on any corner of the window, it's more likely to crack.
Yes!
Spackle to cover shitty framing only. Smooth wall everything
Only registered taxpayers, veterans, police, fireman and property owners should vote. All others are dependant on them.
Truer words have never been spoken!
Fascinating
Thank you! I love framing
I was a contractor now I’m a bat
What is the thickness of this aluminum?
0.019 inches
What thickness is the aluminum
Can we get this as a min series!? I wanna see ya break some drywall
Waiting on home owners insurance adjusters! More to come!
Big enough for a gnome perhaps
The Gnome owner loves it 😅 see what I did there?
