I directed TORAANISQATSI (5 min, 2006, Canada) by invitation to Splice This! 2005's "Remake" programme where it received a standing ovation. After seeing the film there, Bob Wiseman then composed and performed the amazing original soundtrack. Just one little thing: Japan doesn't have proportional representation, it has Mixed Member Majoritarian, last time I checked.
Japan has a mixed system in which 180 seats are elected by proportional representation, which is far better than Canada's zero seats. Having said that you're right, Japan and Taiwan both have room for improvement.

That's the thing, our electoral system is not the least bit esoteric - the fairness of our elections is absolutely central to the existence of everyone in Canada both now and in the future. I did use real actors for the voices, (except for mine, the black guy), and they were all paid properly. PS: I have no idea why your comment was "flagged as spam".
A bit esoteric but well done. It would be even better done by physical actors, but no doubt they're more expensive than stop motion plastic dolls.
Proportional Representation vs. Distorted Misrepresentation is the opposite of esoteric: it hugely affects everyone. Real actors were paid to do the voices.

I don't think I could speed up the already frenetic pace, but I did craft it in such a way that I could edit a 2 min version for a tight commercial-style broadcast spot. There'd be no moose, and no manager in the 2 min version though - so that's why I gave you the full length version to watch here.
Great stuff, especially the first two minutes! If there's a way to make it shorter and increase the pace, I think this piece could be hugely persuasive.

Your new ideas are equally great but how you managed to shoot motives that are SO similar to the original is totally fascinating. Standing Ovation? Yes, agreed. But definitely WITH this soundtrack i immesurably prefer to Glass'. Hats off! (i know the original so well because i made two re-edits of the soundtrack. for fun)
