I didn't realize they went back that far. Brian Hayes here in Australia has one of those units with the pickup in working order. See his demo at ua-cam.com/video/3WFByTAxVAw/v-deo.html , Brian also has one of the oldest PiezoBarrel pickups too. Cheers, Steve:-)

I play both clarinet and bass clarinet, each of them with its own piezo barrel pickup. I'd like to start working with pedals, but I'm wondering now whether I can use the same pedal board for both instruments, or do they each require their specific pedals, due to the lower timbre of the bass clarinet (similar to specific pedals for bass guitars). Before I had the piezo barrel, I used to have a clip-on mic (Audio-Technica ATM350) but this doesn't cover the whole range of the bass clarinet. (I guess I need 3 clip-ons to cover the entire instrument) I connected to a BOSS VE20, but the results are not overwhelming, given the fact that not the whole bass clarinet was covered by th single clip-on. Is this VE20 compatible with the piezo-barrel?
