The controller is connected to the stick but its not connected to your projector. You still need projector remote to control power and volume. I want to be able to use the remote to turn my projector on and off and control volume

The volume and and power button on my firestick remote won't work. I do believe it's because it doesn't know what brand of tv i have. (Because it's a projector) What brand of tv did you input yours as?

Hi, I am not able to hear any sounds when I plug in the fire stick to my projector. When i watch movies, I don't hear any sound/ How do you get the sound to work?

That dark spot in the middle is because the LCD inside the projector is damaged by heat, that's caused by insufficient cooling.

If it’s an Epson projector, they don’t work with Firestick. I have a Now TV stick for mine. Not as good as the Firestick but works for tv, catch-up, you tube, etc however no browser. If you’re desperate you can cast from a pc/phone apparently.

@@nickatnite16 Hi, mine is a fairly old TW6100W (2015) so it looks as though newer ones don’t have the same problem. Still, it’s worth people borrowing a Firestick to try before buying, just in case.
How are you getting sound from the Fire Stick? How are you connecting your projector up for sound? Soundbar? Analog audio out?
It’s an hdmi connector which carries digital audio. You will need some type of audio out from your projector to connect to your sound system or a projector with internal speakers. Failing that the only way would be some form of hdmi breakout box or hdmi audio extractor to feed your sound system. If it’s an Epson I don’t think the firestick will work anyway.
John Crosley Yeah, when I get my 2100, I’m going to connect the Fire Stick to a soundbar, then go HDMI out from the soundbar to HDMI In on the Epson. That should give me sound and video for the Fire Stick.
@@MrsBlaileen1 As I understand you the sound bar has an hdmi through connection to allow it to take off the digital audio. It’s worth checking your projector model in an on line forum to make sure there no problems. My Epson doesn’t work with Android devices(fire stick) so I had to get a Roku powered Now tv stick. Sounds like, barring any compatibility problems, you have the ideal solution.

Yes most projectors nowdays are 1080p native but support 4K upscaled

Yes you can, you can download lots of apps.
