Monsteras are such good indoor plants and all of them are doing amazing apart from my big deliciosa 😢 I haven't underwatered it or overwatered it, and I have been feeding it but it gets yellow patches at the edge of the leaves that turn brown. It was doing amazingly as well and all of a sudden it's really unhappy 😭😭

@RDd188 As its short form content, the video gets uploaded across most social media platforms. Lots of people ask for them on other socials for accessibility. UA-cam auto captions never get the plant names right either.

This is a really good observation @gladstonepm 🌿 technically both forms are deliciosa with the borsigiana seen as a subgroup of deliciosa that for some reason has the characteristics of being smaller leaved and more vining. In my experience I don't think that the spacing of the nodes necessarily indicates maturity or light exposure for these particular variations of the deliciosa. For example, I have a young deliciosa that is next to the variegata under an artificial light source. The young deliciosa is a year younger than the variegata but still exhibits characteristics of the 4yr old monstera in the conservatory, with its ruffles, nodes close together, leaf shape ect. The older monstera had been living in a dark hallway for at least a year, still growing, before it was moved to the conservatory - the nodes stay a consistent width together despite it having less access to light. Therefore my experience with these plants supports the notion that there is a large and small form monstera deliciosa and maintains articles and literature that describes these differing variations of the deliciosa.

It is known in literature that the size of the leaves aren't always a good indication, but their shape is. On whole, the borsigiana does tend to have a slightly smaller leaf size and appear more oval shaped than the standard deliciosa. Technically speaking the the borsigiana is just a variety or subgroup of the normal deliciosa. These two types, the standard and the 'small-form' can be separated by certain characteristics that I have shown in the video, regardless of variegation.

Depending on the age of the plant all the indicators might not've shown yet - these ones are both 4yrs old, so you might still be right about it being a large form :)
