Slow Machine Stitch Meditation? Small Setbacks Prove Enlightening! #fibreart #slowstitching#textile
Can we achieve flow state while running a sewing machine? Can sewing on a machine be meditative? For me, yes. I hope it can be for you too. Crochet has injured my wrist? Thankfully slow machine stitching is painless! Thank you all for your continued support. It warms my heart!

Beautiful! You're an Artist in your own right!
Thank you so much. Happy crafting!
No lo podrás hacer más lento??
Thanks for asking. there are other videos on my channel showing needle tatting at a slower pace. ua-cam.com/users/playlistlist=PL02b6QVFW3W0bmKYlgh0_ZAky4tS0SQ6a The video can also be slowed down in your settings.
Remember to vote in the community tab!
I find it to be exhausting.
Gentle hugs.

Very neat ❤
Thanks for your kind comment.
Es primera vez que veo tejer frivolité con una aguja.
Thanks for your comment. Tatting with a needle is so much easier for my fingers to manage.
So charming, you're so talented, thanks for sharing this! Waiting for more beautiful content, I'm about to learn tatting by myself❤ You're a great tutor❤
Thanks for your comment. Happy crafting!
Just beautiful!
Thanks 😊. Your comment is much appreciated!
Yes. I'd like to see a .more in-depth video. Hope I'm not to late
Thanks for your comment. Please describe what is missing? What can I improve? It really helps to get feedback.
@@aquiltybirdstudios I couldn't really see what you were doing as the camera was to far away. Still love your channel
Are there any needle tatting monthly subscription boxes? I really want to learn this craft. Thanks. Love your channel
Thanks for asking. I haven't heard of any subscription boxes. There are many people much more adept than I am who make tutorials. @RustiKate ua-cam.com/video/Pi6QxHGD9bo/v-deo.htmlsi=6OU0hEHd925dDyWZ. @MarileeRockley teaches shuttle tatting ua-cam.com/video/JI5hxX3leRk/v-deo.htmlsi=rrAyypS2ahNWSJES
Glad I found you. My grandmother showed me how to tat when I was a little girl. I am now 60. I am going to follow your channel and teach myself how to do this again.❤
Thanks for your comment. Welcome!
The needle is less intimidating than a shuttle.
MARAVILHOSO SEU TRABÁLHO OBRIGADO POR COMPARTILHAR .
Thanks 😊 for your comment.
It's a shuttle design
Thanks for your comment. The snowflake pattern is written for a shuttle. It works well with a needle.
I found the original pattern @Dreams of Lace. It's called Editha. Here is a link: www.tatting.de/dol/editha_e.htm . Thanks for asking.

I found the original pattern @Dreams of Lace. It's called Editha. Here is a link: www.tatting.de/dol/editha_e.htm . Hope that helps. Happy making!
I’m wanting to learn how to tat using a tatting shuttle. Can you demonstrate that please?
Thanks for the comment. However... I can't manage to use a shuttle. My fingers refuse to adjust. I'm sorry. There are many videos on UA-cam that demonstrate shuttle tatting. Fingers crossed. ; )
Very beautiful!
Thank you very much!

Lol.
Love the flower it was fun to make.
Glad to hear that! Thanks.
❤❤❤
Thanks 😊
Binding does this!
Thanks for the comment. You're right. I was having trouble with the edges of the quilt top coming undone while quilting. I guess extra pins might help too?
Some machines do not line moving in certain directions. Does the squeak relate to a motion?
Thanks for asking. Ya the squeak was motion related. The darning foot hops. So reverse was worse. After I cleaned the foot- no squeak.
What do you use as a stabilizer to support all that thread?
I use tear away stabilizer. But I think wash away would be easier.
Love your needle skills. Dying that tree fabric was fun to watch!
This was my first big set of watercolors! I bought these to start help coloring in my drawings as colored pencils are terribly rough on my arthritic fingers. I didn't know at the time this little hobby of mine was going to be the start of my 2nd career! I obviously think this was a nice beginner set, still enjoy it actually.
Thanks for the comment. They are nice colors.
This one is beautiful......
You are an amazing artist!
Wow! Wow! Wow! What do you use for stabilizer? Have you tried Steam a Seam 2-lite?
Thank you for your comments. Nice to meet you. I have used steam a seam on my winter trees quilt from last year.
Wow! Wow! Wow! What do you use for stabilizer?
Have you ever done tea?
I have done tea dyeing. It is more subtle than I wanted here.
Wow! I’d love to see your finished project! Is there a link?I am about to start a tree project myself! You’re much more artistic , and I love this technique! I am making an ENT from LOTR. May I give this technique a try?
This isn't finished yet. I am working on an update video for next Tuesday.
Wow! I’d love to see your finished project! Is there a link?
I post finished project either on Instagram or Ko-fi.com. The links are in my channel description.
Great beauty design charme resulty . happiness
Thank you. It's a wonderful pattern.
hello! did u use embroidery thread for this? or is it a different one?
Thanks for asking. I used craft chord from Michael's for these. Embroidery thread will work as well as pearle cotton crochet thread. Happy crafting!
@@aquiltybirdstudios thanks for letting me know, I'm still new and short on supplies so good to know i have an alternative already!
Hi. What is the name and size of this needle?
Thanks for your comment. It is a size 7 tatting needle with size 8 pearle cotton crochet thread.
@@aquiltybirdstudios thank you ☺️
Underrated artist. This was fascinating to watch and I’m glad it wound up in my feed.
Thank you!!!
I made an entire victorian needle tatted robe. It took me about a year and a half. It would have taken me longer, but I was out of work due to medical problems/disabilities. It was beautiful. My roommate's girlfriend stole it to "teach me a lesson" because she was jealous. I wanted to make another, but I don't have it in me. I'm also working again, so it will take me much longer.
So sorry to hear about your struggles. It's great that you've recovered and back to work. I hope that you do continue tatting. Busy hands quiet thoughts.
Molto carino
Thank you!
I wonder where my tatting needles are
It's a wonder how such large needles can hide.😁
Beautiful
Thank you.
How beautiful!!!!! Can this be done with any long enough needle? I gotta try this!
Yes you can! I started with a doll maker's needle.
😍👏🏻👍🏻🌷
Thank you!
Awesome idea! , thank you for making this video
Thank you for your comment. Happy crafting!
'Promo SM' 😍
Thanks for the comment.
What needle areu using?
Thank you for your comment. I am using a size 7 fine needle and 10 g perle cotton thread.
How long does something like this take? I want to learn because I sprained my wrists crocheting and am desperately looking for a new hobby that doesn’t hurt haha
6 months for this one! Not really. I put it away and forgot about it. The snowflakes can go pretty quick. I think one of my bracelets took 15 minutes. I put the time in one of my videos.
Sorry to hear about your wrists. Sprains can be so painful.
Very pretty😍❤
Thank you! 😊
What Beauty! I've always loved the way hand made lace looks when done. Have you ever tried bobbins lace making?
Thank you for your comment. Bobbin lace looks interesting. I haven't tried it. Have you?
