It was 2003, saw Brand-new and Lacey do this one live when I was 20 years old with 3 amazing friends in Detroit. I remember looking at my friend who was in love with Jesse Lacey and she was crying as they played this song. She had said before the show that they rarely preform Soco live. I knew she could now check it off her bucket list to see it. I believe it was St Andrews Hall. A big mosh on the last song -they played Quiet things. I was now looking down from the balcony at this point and we watched as they took a girl out on a stretcher at the end who had been trampled. Amazing show tho. Holy shit.. I remeber 2007-2009 listening to this with my best friend driving to school. I’m 31 now my best friend overdosed on heroin in 2016.. it’s so crazy how the time flew. Honestly reminds me when I was 17 again. To this day I can smell that house. Almost like I can reach out and grab that memory. Everyone sitting in a non perfect circle but to us we were the closest thing to perfect. Listening to this exact song, passing the bong back and forth. Just being young kids. Band t's and skinny jeans. Aurora, mo. Was probably the best memories. Such a sweet little town. I'm very thankful I was alive in such a time that music could control your heart. Not rage out.
