Great analysis. Yeah def saw a lot of myself in Finn when it comes to obsessive love, which isn't the best but yeah I think when you're abandoned as a kid like I was and like Finn, the value of the bonds you have or almost have, get really magnified, like a life or death situation somehow psychologically if you lose them even though that's a part of life. Like everything feels intense I guess. Def trying to break myself of that tendency and be more okay without forming unhealthy attachments, but it's very difficult :(

This is awesome! I think the costumes that involve armor made from materials like cardboard, foam, or pop tabs are the best and super fun because you get to make them yourself, and I love the material you chose for the skirt thing-looks just like chainmail. It’s also always good to see fellow lady knights!

Neat video. I am still not sure how to feel about how they ended off Finn's life in Together Again. I do think it's fitting and interesting for Finn to never get over Jake, but if they were actually implying that Finn was essentially never happy again and just waiting for death to see Jake again that's very depressing for not much reason. Surely Finn could have just always held that loss in his heart while still living a full life couldn't he? I do find your angle on it to be interesting, Finn ended up like this because he was too obsessed and attached to Jake and could never move on, but it still doesn't really sit right to me. I dunno, looking at Finn and Jake and going "well the problem is that these guys just love each other too much" does not feel right haha. Good video though.

Oh man. I love this video, because i love AT so much. Like, man, its one of the few shows that can actually make me cry, and I watched a lot of shows. Its just the fact I grew with it, and its so cray to think about this. Im soon going to be in college or something, and I still remember AT. I started to rewatch it this year not so long ago, and even weirdest episodes just resonated with me, which just didnt when i was 13...I was 13 when I first- Oh my god, still so crazy. And despite Finn not really able to find a relieve of losing Jake through the final episode, its still gives hope, because even hero like him have a deep flaws. And AT just teaches you in subtle way of things, complicated things. Anyway, good one.

Girl! Can we be besties??? Cuz I often have to hide my deep love for this show from normies as well!! I've always loved it!! And always appreciated it's unique realism as I was shown it as an adult. I was just super frustrated with the story line consistency's and if you were someone waiting for each episode.. it felt always good but all over the place 😭 but I loved how they evolved it and now I feel like the complete 10 seasons are perfect lol and distant lands were amazing!! In all of Rebecca sugar’s shows the character I relate to are Finn, and Pearl. Notice a pattern? One uses Adventuring and tasks to keep himself busy and forgetting about the heart ache he feels, the other clings onto nothing and can’t let go of the past until she gets cornered. Both struggle with loving someone who doesn’t love them back also with finding their true self, even in Fionna and Cake Finn is still trying to find himself

Jake having achieved Nirvana is the least surprising thing to ever happen to Jake. It makes total sense, given what we know about him in life. Also, thank you for your insights here! Definitely made me take a deeper dive into my own relationships with people.

YESSSS CHANNEL YOUR INNER WIRT! This is literally what I plan to be for Halloween as well. It’s kinda comedic. On Halloween, Wirt threw a bunch of random things together as a costume and when he was asked what he was he didn’t even know! So if someone asks you (when you’re dressed as Wirt) what you are, you can say, “Uh, I d-I don’t know. Well it’s- See I was- I thought I’d just, like-“ (exactly Wirt’s lines). Or you could simply tell them you are Wirt, “The Pilgrim”, or a gnome. That works as well.

aaaa i love everything about this and your work!! the concept is so unique and the execution is so perfect and whimsical!!! i feel like some real little witches live in it, it’s got so much personality with how you decorated it!! i couldn’t have related harder to the part where you mentioned that feeling of doubt and questioning why you even started the project and if it was worth it, that happens to me every time.. sometimes before i even start the project aa😭😭 that’s when i know it’s time to take a break and pick it back up when inspo (hopefully) hits again!!

I was around your same age when I experienced the Flame Princess arc in Adventure Time, I remember being genuinely distraught about PB not reciprocating Finn's feelings (particularly in the one episode he gives up on pursuing her), mostly because I saw myself in Finn and, ironically, I would end up experiencing something similar in my own life.

Thank you for making this video! I think breaking down the themes of obsession showcased by Finn and other characters throughout the show oddly makes me relate to Finn more than ever as an adult....😅 after a few relationships and also the ones that never happened, I can't help but reevaluate the drivers that motivated them, like sex, status, and obsession. I want to take care of people but its difficult to have those feelings reciprocated, and if they are how can I know that it will last... I dunno this love stuff is difficult af so I enjoy watching cartoon characters attempt to figure it out 😂
