Books I Want To Read in March - March TBR
Thank you for this, you've piqued my interest with these. Getting back into reading this year 😊
Great job! I've not every considered reading horror genre, but you have definitely raised my interest.
Thank you! I was so surprised to see how broad of a genre it is!
I also read Gone to See the River Man based on your recommendation. Took me a few weeks to read as I was a bit disturbed by the "little brother situation". Had to stop reading and then come back. Unsettling for sure.
Omg yes that storyline came out of left field! This book was definitely giving “the monsters are the people”
Have booked my copy today. Thank you, love your recommendations, every one a winner!
Awesome I hope you enjoy!
I read the black farm bc of your rec!! one of my new faves! love your recommendations!!
I’m glad you “enjoyed” it! 😆
your recommendations are always top tier 🙌🏾✨
Yay! Thank you!
New subscriber!
Welcome!
You are great at explaining the book but not writing a book while you do it.
Best compliment ever! Thank you!
I loved your passion when speaking about this book, I will be checking it out!
Please do! I hope you love it!
Your passionate description of this book has definitely sparked my interest and I'm not a romance reader. Will add this to my Barnes and Nobles cart. I think the last romance book I read was, How Stella Got Her Groove Back and that was soooo many years ago. LOL 😂😂
Stella is an oldie but goodie! I hear you, I might read 2 romances a year and mostly as a palette cleanser and an easy ready. But, this one could almost be considered women's fiction because it's so much more than boy-meet-girl-and-saves-her.
I randomly saw this book in a secondhand book store and grabbed it based off your recommendation in a previous video. Im definitely going to get into it soon. And I liked Long Shot as well! Thank you! ❤
That's great, I hope you enjoy it!
does it have a happy ending, also is the heroine strong?
Yes
I will definitely be checkin this out as someone who doesn't read romance but wants to get into it! I gotta piggyback off the other commenter tho, your hair is lovely!
I hope you enjoy it and thank you!
hi eryn great book recomendation . i know the channel is not about hair .but i love your hair .what type of braids is ? i''m from brazil love your chanel bye😃🥰
Thank you! My hair is interlocked, they're called microlocs. 😀
Love these choices
Thank you!
Oooh a woman of the sword…don’t normally see moms written in that way. Either they were great warriors and quit to be a mom/wife or they’re just moms…does that make sense? 😂
Makes perfect sense, that's why this one was so profound! She was a better warrior than a mother, for sure!
Thank You!!!! I read Redeeming Love, based on your recommendation. I cried the whole time. Such a beautiful story.
Ah that makes me so happy to hear that! Thank you for sharing!
I love your locs.
Thank you!
This was a great video! I also love the audiobook for 1984. Such a quick listen too. Anxious people impressed me so much. I wasn’t expecting anything and it was amazing in such a humble way. I own A Little Life but still haven’t worked up the will to start it 😅. One of my most recent favorites is Tananarive Due’s The Reformatory. It is excellent!!
If you have Audible Plus, there is a dramatized adaptation of 1984! It's on my list to listen as I think it's only 3 hours.
I wrote in my notes: 1984: AUDIO! Thanks for that recommendation.
I haven't read A Little Life yet, but I have it. Love 1984 and Gone Girl. I am definitely adding some of these to my TBR.
I hope you enjoy the new finds!
Rebecca Brandywine, love cherish me. The book started my love of reading when i was a teenager.
I enjoy mystery, suspense, horror, some romance, and real life crime stories. I listened and enjoyed Stephen King, Riding The Bullet on audio. I also read and watched the movie Dolores Claiborne, and The girl who loved Tom Gordon.
I have so many books on my TBR and currently reading three books, The House girl by Tara Conklin, The traitors wife by Kathleen Kent, and Jewel by Brett Lott. I have so many books and still continue to buy more. 😂 Oh I also have Redeeming Love but haven't started it yet.
I love literary fiction the most, especially when authors can create compelling, realistic characters that begin to feel so relatable by the end of the book, even though they may start out on the unlikable side. I love the ones who have a lot going on inside their heads, and those who begin to understand themselves better… Just found your channel and it is excellent!
I love this! What’s a good recommendation in litfic just like this?
Demon Copperhead by Barbara Kingsolver. Omg, a masterpiece
I just started Howling Dark...way better then the 1st book so far. The action pops off early.
New subscriber!!! Thanks for the book suggestions. I told myself I wasn't buying any new books this month 😂 but now I am rethinking that decision.
Buy the book! 😃Thanks for subbing!
Oh Daaanngggg! I think I need to find this book. Do you recommend any non-fiction?
My fav nonfiction that pulls at my heart is Tiny Beautiful Things! It captures being human so beautifully.
@@erynreadseverything I just received the book via Amazon. If I may recommend a book for you. It's called Soul Keeper by David Dalglish
I just finished listening to The Weight of Blood. Definitely reminiscent of Stephen King's Carrie. The ending was a little off. Thanks for your recommendations as I have a few of your other recommendations in my Amazon cart.
Thank you for the list! I was looking for some good books to read and will give them a try.
Hope you enjoy!
I enjoyed Redeeming love
I really enjoyed most of these! From this group, I loved ‘Behind Her Eyes’ and ‘the Silent Patient’ best. I don’t plan on reading Fight Club. That zombie book sounds interesting! Gonna have to check it out
If I have to pick just one, I’m saying thriller. I like how they’re fast paced and typically have interesting twists! I could never be a single genre reader though. You make a really interesting point about horror- I never thought of the genre that way!
Yes, a good thriller is a guaranteed roller coaster ride!
I thought the same thing - never thought of horror that way! If I keep that perspective in mind, I may not be too scared to try reading it again.
Literary fiction I love how it don’t focus on one specific genre. It focus on the character
That's a great point! You can find a little of everything in lit fic all while taking a deep dive into the mind of some interesting people.
I’m a thriller girl all the way
Sci-fy for me! Like you, I read all genres including non-fiction, but sci-fi is my favorite. I love the big ideas about what could happen in the future whether it involves climate disaster, scientific or medical advancement, space travel, etc. When the concepts that have come from an author's imagination are blowing my mind at every turn, I'm in heaven!
Oh gosh, yes! If I could pick a second fav, it'd be dystopian sci-fi (super specific!) 😄
Thanks so much for your recommendations, I love your videos 💙
You are so welcome!
The Sword of Kaigen by ML Wang is a fantastic stand alone
Thank you for your book suggestions, new subscriber for sure
Awesome! Thank you!
Hello. My name is Page Love. I just published my debut fantasy novel. It is centered around a Kenyan American young woman who travels back to her homeland to follow "the call behind the wind." I would love to be able to gift my novel to you for free, if possible. Thank you.
Great list! You had me at LAMB. I decided to read Redeeming Love and looked for your link so you could get the affiliate income. No link, but maybe I’ll catch you next time!
Thank you so much! I will make sure I link in future videos. I hadn’t even considered!
I’m so happy to see Perfect Peace in here. I went to CAU and Dr. Black is a professor there, so in 2011 it was our required reading book for incoming freshman. I have recommended this book to everyone over the years lol
Wow! I bet the discussions really broke it down!
I'm in the process of trying to read it. Introduced to Dr. Black by Karen Hunter. Glad to see it recommended!
I love the way how you explain the books and the background 💛
Thank you so much!
Loved Redeeming Love! My favorite of ALL time has to be ‘The Man I Love’ series by Suanne Laqueur…it will bring out EVERY emotion you possess…I’ve read the series multiple times and listened to the audiobook a couple of times as well
My favorite book is "The Other Woman" by EJD (may he RIP). Perfect Peace was just okay to me, there was some weird stuff going on in that book. Afterburn by Zane is another favorite book and wish the sequel to that book would have came out.
You didn’t cry uncontrollably reading A Little Life??!!???!! I wish!!! I couldn’t make it through the whole book. It was too much!!
A Little life would definitely make my list too. ♥️
It's so good!
I loved Queenie and 1984! My fave books of all time - Watership Down, A Song of Ice and Fire, Americanah, Half of a Yellow Sun, The Power, Handmaid's tale, Hunger Games book 1, The Curious Lives of Baba Segi's Wives
Oh I’ve had Americanah on my list for far too long? What was it like for you?
So happy to have found your channel. ❤
Welcome!!
