K36s are 2-8-2s and not 2-4-2s. So do some more research. The K-37s are still 2-8-2s but the K-37s were built by Denver and Rio Grande Western RR themselves while #484 was built by Baldwin. BOTH are still 36 inch gauge locomotives.

I have got to see Cumbres & Toltec 484 operating at the C&TS back in July 3rd 2022 hauling the train I rode one from Chama, New Mexico to Osier, Colorado before another locomotive had took the train, which was Denver & Rio Grande Western 463 (As Rio Grande Southern 455). That took it all the way towards Antonito, Colorado.

484 had her Reading 6 chime back then. In my opinion that was the perfect movie to have it.

I’m glad that their Denver & Rio Grande Western 463 has been saved after it’s problem in the 4th of July there. I have seen this locomotive back in July 2nd 2016 and July 3rd 2022 (As Rio Grande Southern 455).
