I have recently began experimenting with aerial photography and video. My channel is going to be a place to post my experiments and, hopefully, get some feed back. I plan on traveling around Wyoming filming whatever of interest I can find. If you have a suggestion of someplace for me to visit post it in the comments. Just remember drones aren't allowed in the National Parks. I have also recently taken up the guitar. If you don't like what I'm playing hit mute. Hopefully, as time goes by my playing and composition will get better.

Independence Rock was consider to be the half way point on the Oregon Trail. It is called Independence Rock because it was said you needed to reach the half way mark by the fourth of July it insure a safe arrival in Oregon before winter. It is located approximately 50 miles south west of Casper along WY-220. There are thousands of signatures from the pioneers curved into the side of this massiv...

This is Lower Calf Creek Falls off of hwy 12 in Utah. I flew from a turnout on hwy 12 and had no idea that this waterfall was there until I turned around at the end of the flight.

Babbling Brook

I recorded this the other day while out looking for gravel deposits and inspecting mine sites, all while giving the boss a tour of a real cool part of our field office. This is the Middle Fork of Buffalo Creek taken at the Buffalo Creek Campground off of Big Horn Mountain Road north of Arminto, Wy, part of a BLM scenic byway. A little slice of heaven and a tough day at the office.
Snowy Range

The Snowy Range is the northern most extent of the Medicine Bow Mountains. Hwy 130 which connects Saratoga, Wy. to Centennial, Wy. runs right through the range. The mountains are composed of Quartzite and formed about 70 million years ago. I flew this August 2017. It took me a long time to edit. There was just too many good shots. I had to speed everythingup by 4x.
Teenage Heartbreak Queen

This is the band Palaye Royale preforming Teenage Heartbreak Queen in Denver, Oct. 28, 2018 at the Oriental Theater. I've been going concerts for along time. This was one of the best, if not the best, straight up rock shows I've ever seen. They filled that place with their sound and presence to overflowing. Sure other bands may have splashier shows, but these guys just got on stage and rocked o...

Nice 🌩️
Why not also show the top?
Hard place to find , second time around maybe?
Don't know why they havnt opened up the Oregon Trail as a holiday expedition. I would do it if was possible
Part of the reason is that a lot of the Oregon Trail crosses what is now private land and/or is farm or ranch land.
@@xv1100mc can see why they don't it then. Never even thought of that
@@rmc2001 You can actually drive most of the trails. Roads and highways follow where the trails went in a lot of places. This a great source of information: nhtcf.org/
That's easily the biggest dust devil I've ever seen! It's 600 feet in the sky!
Interesting that they sweep the area 2 or three times and then set in to feed! Awesome vid!
I've got some slo-mo video coming.
@@xv1100mc oooo, those will be cool!
3 times my county in CA has lost control of prescribed burns and destroyed private citizens property. I heard this happened in NM once too.
Cities Skylines?
🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
Wonderful, let's the imagination flow.
Where is this? Is that area bald because of a forest fire? In the aftermath of the 2020 Bighorn Fire in southern AZ, we have had two summers of very destructive monsoons.
This was filmed west of Big Piney, WY. It was the day after a prescribed burn (an intentionally set fire). They burn the area to promote new plant growth which is good for big game animals such as deer and elk. I was documenting the before and after.
Isn't it technically an ash devil then lol?
Hey xv1100mc, do you have an email address at which we could contact you regarding this video? We would be interested to discuss a license to use this video if this is generally possible? (i.e. via email) :) Cheers, Felix
At least you called it what it actually is. Kudos for that!
Wow 💪💪💪
harmless, like a waterspout. but they look very imposing.
Neither dust devils nor waterspouts are 'harmless' - at least not all the time.
@@N.i.E.M.O ye water spouts can be pretty fucking deadly sometimes
It’s cool how you can see where the river used to be.
スゴイカッコいい🌩️❤️❤️🥳😃🤩😲
We got a pink granite mountain that's about 650 acres big and over 400 ft high in Texas called Enchanted Rock, it's quite legendary from an 1840s encounter of a Texas Ranger and the Comanche Indians, its a state park now.
Pretty neat place!! I’ve walked all around there. Thanks for the birds eye view!
Glad you enjoyed it
Thanks for posting. I’ve been looking for out of the way places and this looks interesting. I hope to get out there in the not to distant future.
Have fun!
You can tell where the creek has changed course a few times. Wow interesting video - thank you. That's a HUGE rock.
Thanks for watching!
@@xv1100mc Sure. It really was interesting.
Looks like klendathu
Starship Troopers was partly filmed there.
Wow is look like tornado
You can really see how there was a world wide flood, cause the rings in the mountain rocks show it. Beautiful landscape for outlaws to run in and hide!
All those "rings" really show is that there was some kind of change in the depositional environment when the sediment the limestone was made from was deposited. This limestone is believed to have formed from the deposition of calcium carbonate used by sea creatures in theirs shells and bones. So it does prove that Wyoming was once covered with a whole lot of water about 70 million years ago.
Very nice!
Thanks!
xv1100mc you got it. Love my 2017 Forester 2.5i Premium! Wish I had snow like that here in Tennessee!
My 2004 Forester XS was a lot more fun in the snow. The 2017 tries it best to keep you from spinning the tires or getting sideways.
xv1100mc try turning the VDC off, then holding the VDC button down until the off light flashes. Then it should be completely disabled.
you are so mean...haha!
