Why are there sooo few comments here?! Great technique!
Thank god there are others carrying on Gracie jiu jitsu the way it should be
Greatly underrated channel right here!
Nice details here. +1
Would this have worked for Rolles Gracie? 🤔 ua-cam.com/video/poiS5RsTObQ/v-deo.htmlsi=sQZc_vZZJVnJW9Pp
Thank you for doing basic self defense. You make it easy to follow and understand. Very enjoyable. Keep up the good work.
That s Gracie BJJ?
Just rolled with Grayson for the first time last week! So funny, I'm studying for BJJ blue belt test and randomly found these videos! Thanks, Professor Grayson!
imagine forgetting to empty the gun before training 💀
I got choked rhe same way but the the guy was driving me backwards how do defend that and I fell to ground it happened so fast
BJJ black belt here. This is the best instructional on this technique I have ever seen in 16 years. Beautifully taught brother!
awesome details
Thank you for doing these videos! Your explanations are very clear, precise and methodical.
Dude, you cant fight against a gun. thats silly
Hmmm 🤔 I’ll have to watch my self today I never even payed attention raising up like that I’m sure I do but while rolling I’ll have to pay attention
This is how you do it. ua-cam.com/video/CvL3-ZbcB8c/v-deo.html
i love detail 👍
nice, you teach us detail
The commentary on this is amazing! "It's not a very good move." 🤣😂🤣
Your videos and content are awesome. You have a gift for setting a serious tone. Respectfully, this one falls short. There’s no reason to give your attacker an open hand to bite or an extended arm to break; especially a stronger, larger or more experienced attacker. There are options that keep the elbows in and your standing guard up. 🙏🏽
Appreciate it.
This honestly looks incorrect. As the attacker charges at you, the punch will ALWAYS be a hammer punch (from above down). If I give him the back of my head, I'll be as good as that boxer who got disabled with a brain hemorrhage due to a punch to the back of the head!
Right off the top of my head. Head staying leveled. Legs crossed. Hand too far behind, knees bent when posted, etc. At least you didn't do a 3 point base so I'll give you that 👊. But if Helio saw you teaching this and claiming it was from him he'd smack you in the head 🖐😵💫. I am confident he would've. Reconsider the title or even better remove this video if you genuinely want people to learn proper. I invite you to study how Rickson breaks down this very important technique so you can make the little adjustments that your students deserve. As a student of Helio, this is unacceptable. The title has to go brother. Oss.
If you can get your elbows that high in the air forget the fingers smash elbows to the face
"I don't think you should strike" *Bang Muay Thai banner in background* Great video series btw
These are phenomenal videos, thank you so much for sharing
😍😍😍😍 i loved it !! 🖐👺 five stars !! A new subscriber here 🤗❤
Ok, once you grab his wrist and walk underneath his arm... then what?
Telling it how it is, might not always work.
Maybe its much better if you show first the technique apllication in actual speed, then explain every detail all they long.. rickson gracie explaining technique after the actual application, so it will not be boring to listen and learning is progressive
Looks good! How did you select these 75?
Hi! They are from Helio Gracie's book Gracie Jiu-Jitsu. These self defense moves are also used for Pedro Sauer's brown and black belt tests. www.google.com/url?sa=t&source=web&rct=j&url=www.amazon.com/Gracie-Jiu-Jitsu-Master-Text-Helio/dp/0975941119&ved=2ahUKEwjlu5eA8qL3AhVJEEQIHWPLD4MQFnoECCsQAQ&usg=AOvVaw1WMy6C2wfhyIJGtrOdaRX_
🤣🤣🤣 lots of good luck indeed
Great old school stuff
Hey guys ,do you plan on continuing with showing demos of the curriculum up to #88 hair/ear grab defense,I'm loving the series it's improving my jiu-jitsu so much already please continue 🙏💚🤟
I am. I've been in graduate school for the last year and a half but will graduate this summer. The white to blue curriculum and some other big, related projects will be my focus after that. I hope you are enjoying and growing from the videos. Let me know if there's anything I can do to make them better.
Hello ,and thanks for getting back to me..... The videos are perfect I find them spot on and can take in all the information from them clearly so good job. Glad the rest of the curriculum will be available I have hunted high and low for videos of the full list I'm so pleased to have finally found them so I can drill them each day and sharpen the tools . Good luck with your graduation man
this is the BEST CHANNEL for self-defense!! Perfectly executed, well shot, simple, concise and pure! Thank you for taking the time to make these videos and preserving and sharing the original jiujitsu self-defense. Its sadly becoming a lost art.
Can't see your inside hand grip
Nice
Awesome work.
Thank you very Much
Thank you veru much for putting this amazing work available. Cheers from Brazil . Cutelada ( Hand Chop )
Thankyou so much for this Professor. I train Jiujitsu primarily at a sport school, and when i trained for a bit in another country I was exposed to the old school Helio side for the first time. I trained with punches for the first time and was humbled. Even though I'm back at a sport school, after class I find a partner to spar with all strikes, work on my combatives, and other parts of Helio's curriculum. So I guess I'm getting the best of both sides of the same coin. God bless you for doing it for free, others on the self-defense side charge an arm and a leg, and thank you for making the videos structured and explaining the small details. Other youtube channels(not gonna mention names), have a goal of uploading the full self defense curriculum, however, they just show the technique being performed and include no explanation, instruction, or small details. There are so many defenses for similar attacks yet no context on why each technique is more suited than another.
like,
That’s not the same haymaker defence the Gracies teach. We slip under moving into a rear clinch moving into the rear takedown.
Thank you. Is this from the Gracie University Master Cycle?
Wow great details. Thanks for the videos!!!
Great instructions!
Thank you
Very detailed and thorough. This Channel is underrated.
Getting into Vale Tudo?
Seipai!
