Hi! My name is Liucilė and I am a lover and enthusiast of music and overall different modern art forms. Perhaps I was influenced by a very artistic environment that I grew up in as a child, however, now I can proudly say - I am a harpist and composer!
In my channel you can find some of my recent works and performances. For the past years I have been developing a growing interest in contemporary music and interdisciplinary performance collaborations, however I do enjoy occassionally playing some classics as well. I always strive to create a performance in which the listener could get lost in. Afterall, how one of my favourite musicians Frank Zappa once said, “Without music to decorate it, time is just a bunch of boring production deadlines or dates by which bills must be paid.”
Enjoy! ✨

"La Mélancolie" (Liucilė U. Vilimaitė, solo harp)
“La Mélancolie” is an immersive concert program that portraits melancholia, a feeling that is often viewed very negatively, as a breathtaking and pensive experience. Through well-known lyrical harp pieces, as well as compositions and arrangements of my own, and theatrical elements such as visual projections and intimate scenography, the listener is invited to explore bittersweet emotions of solitude and experience the vulnerable beauty of a momentum. Can melancholia be the key for finding your way and resilience in an increasingly disconnected world?
In the program - pieces by J. Cage, G. Fauré, H. Villa-Lobos, T. Hosokawa, L.U.Vilimaitė.

Astor Piazzolla "Café 1930" from "Histoire du Tango" (arr. for alto saxophone and harp)
Переглядів 2,3 тис.4 роки тому
A. Piazzolla was well aware of how much the tango had changed during his lifetime, therefore he composed Histoire du tango in 1985 to celebrate the dance in four different eras. He intended the four movements - Bordel 1900, Café 1930, Night Club 1960, and Concert d’aujourd’hui (Modern-day concert) - to be abstractions rather than music for dancing. Café 1930 is the slow dreamy movement of the...
Gabriel Fauré "Une châtelaine en sa tour", op.110 (Liucile U. Vilimaite, harp)

"G. Fauré’s captivating delicate miniature has definitely gained an important place in a harpist’s repertoire since it was composed. The piece was inspired by Verlaine’s poem, “Une sainte en son aureole” and is like a distant reminiscence of the opening number of G. Fauré’s song cycle “La Bonne chanson”. Verlaine wrote the poem for his wife Mathilde as a wedding gift and it tells about a saint ...

This is the "Preludio" from Heitor Villa-Lobos' Bachianas Brasileiras no 4. (adapted for harp by myself) sounding backwards I found it very interesting how the reversed harp sound becomes more peculiar and gains somewhat organistic tembre

I can't stop listening to your performance, this is sooo good! Thank you so much for sharing! A saxophone and a harp is such a magical combination I would have never imagined... Bravo 👏🏿👏🏾👏🏽👏🏼👏🏻👏🏻
Thank you so much!! And yes, this combination has a lot of undiscovered colours 😊
I had a chance to hear this piece live at a concert when you performed it in Vilnius. That was quite an experience! Now listening to "In a Landscape" and watching the visuals created by Miglė Markulytė I find more different angles of the piece. Want to add this to my playlist already. Best wishes!
so good, I think I'm dreaming... ❤️
Mesmerising ✨
Fantastic, can we use this for our production? Feel free to contact us
Feels relaxing. very nice!
I love the concept of combining music with visuals! And this really fits the atmosphere of the piece so well! Beautiful!🎶✨
Very beautiful ✨ it feels like floating in the clouds ☁️
Beautiful! I love the atmosphere of the video and how it fits the piece just perfectly:)
In love with the translucent atmosphere of the video ❤️
Wonderful light music. This piece immersed me in a still and calm atmosphere and led to many reflective thoughts. The visuals brought some darker colours. The constant movement, which began later in the piece, reminded me of a journey with the train during the bleak, snowless winter peering through the window of the undressed trees and lonely blocks of flats on the gloomy ground. The everlasting motion and the running wires held by the electric poles kept the feeling that I was still on the train going to my destination. Later all the surface was blinded by the darkness leaving me with obscure reveries of some brighter changes.
Very good idea :)
Fantastic!
Muy bueno 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽

this hella inspired me 🙏🙏🖤
Very interesting indeed !!
Super beautiful! Also, I think Liam wants to be your friend...
