There are some really good custom roms available (you can easily find guides on UA-cam), but replacing FuntouchOS with one will also affect camera quality (that's a big advantage of this device that you'll loose)

Xiaomi Civi 14 may offer a slight edge in performance than Neo9 Pro, and the 2x telephoto will also be helpful in certain conditions. But remember I tested the Neo9 Pro in the most extreme condition I could. I was playing the game last night and it was totally fine.

@@ryanahmed1578 speaking of green line, I personally trust none at this point. The other day I read vivo X series is facing the issue. As you said, I think the UI experience is most important. Consider something he is already familiar with, or a stock like experience (I mean the Moto Edge 50 series). Motorola has also improved its image processing a lot.

With super heavy titles I have seen this phone struggling (Genshin Impact in full graphics in my case). Neo9 Pro prefers not to get super hot. If the condition is adverse, it will reduce processing (enabling Monster mode works, but the phone gets warmer) I just uploaded a video showing this, you should check that out.

@@elakkiyag4352 this is very good. I don't use the phone much, but it sometimes lasts me more than two days. And when you finally need to charge, it charges from 20%-80% in around 20 minutes. It doesn't overheat while doing so either.

Yes, this is rather a large screen. But they could have placed the UI elements in easy to reach places. Even the discontinued MIUI let's you do all the things I showed very conveniently. In summary, it's a great piece of hardware held back by poor software experience.

If you don't play heavy titles such as Genshin Impact, Motorola should be the choice as it offers an overall better UI experience. The iQOO Neo9 Pro's UI elements are designed in a way that its not good at all for one-handed use. I have just added a video showing why, which should clear the confusion. Just check it out.

I have noticed occasional stutters while opening the app drawer for a couple of times in the last two months. Other than that, the UI is smooth. The phone is very efficient and the only way you can drain it within 24 hours is by playing games like Genshin Impact. I also didn't notice any issues with 5G connectivity. Lastly, it charged from 20%-70% in 16 minutes this morning, which I think is really good. And the best part is that it never overheats while charging this fast.

@@divyaprakashgavel2892 realme gt 6, OnePlus 12r, iqoo neo9 pro all offers good performance and battery life but the realme and OnePlus are currently slightly more expensive, and MOST IMPORTANTLY, camera is relatively better on iqoo neo9 pro. Ultimately, it comes down to your UI preference. I personally don't like Funtouch OS's design language (this is the only, that I don't like about this phone) if oppo and vivo's skins feels like a compromise to you, I will recommend the Moto Edge 50 Pro. Aside from the occasional inconsistent colors from the telephoto, the camera is good, and UI is far better from all of the above in my experience.

Honestly, the design language of Funtouch OS is such that it's not good for one-hand use at all. This is the aspect I don't like about any vivo or iQOO phone. Hardware wise, the iQOO Neo9 Pro is indeed a powerhouse. I have also tested the camera with the Moto Edge 50 Pro, and it captured overall better images with more accurate colors. The performance is one of the best in its segment.

If you want "camera + heavy gaming", then go for it. Camera is really good, but UI is not so special (I didn't notice any major bug though).

If its casual gaming, you can check some Motorola devices in this range. Overall build, camera, UI combination can be better for a lower price.

I am personally happy with the image processing of this device, photos are sharp with good detail, color...and so far I didn't notice a single noisy image. (let me know if you want to see image samples) plastic frame, so that's a point. But the back glass has a nice finish, feels really good to me. Unless you compare with one with a metal frame, it's fine. The UI is not so special, which can be the deal breaker for some.
