    This fuel can mount is clever and practical. I haven't decided if I'm going with the Honda enclosed rear cargo box, or the Milwaukee Packout route. I'm in AZ and it is extremely dusty, so the cargo box would keep everything inside cleaner. If I do go the Milwaukee route, I'll probably purchase one of these mounts.

      @chaseledbetter5186 Рік тому

      Yeah I've probably got 30k miles of offroading in different sxs and I've never needed a spare. Carry a 12v compressor, tire plugs, tire slime, external patches and some spare valve stems you can install from the outside and always been fine. Rarely use any of that but feel better having it. We ride windrock, royal blue and hatfield mccoy

    • @jerb9254
      @jerb9254 Місяць тому

      @@chaseledbetter5186 It certainly depends on where and how you ride. Here in Arizona, I feel much more secure riding with a spare, 2 extra gallons of gas, and plenty of extra drinkable water.

  • @jdfranzen
    @jdfranzen Рік тому

    I live up in Alaska and this heater does not work. The first ride was a cold one at -9 and it actually made it colder in the cab. We closed all the vents and periodically would see if it may have warmed up but there was zero change. I blocked the radiator with a piece of cardboard, that didn't help. Second ride was 27 degrees when we started. I blocked the radiator with a bigger piece of cardboard and stuffed foam in every crevice. It was blowing slightly above outside temp sitting at idle running for 30 min but the second we hit the trail it was ice cold again. We are driving 4-5 hrs continuously, so save the comments about "go and drive it". We are and it doesn't work. I've blocked the radiator and it doesn't work. It's installed correctly and it does nothing but pull cold air through the radiator and blast it in your face. Really disappointed that I've wasted the time and money and now I get to replace all the plastic I chopped up and drilled to install this kit.

    • @wickedpeckeroffroad8669
      @wickedpeckeroffroad8669 Рік тому

      I'm not sure when you added the cardboard in front of the radiator, but that would block any airflow through the radiator hence blocking any heated air from flowing through the radiator and making the blower motor draw cold air from around the radiator and doing exactly what you have mentioned. There is normally 120-160 degree air coming through the vents depending on what you are doing from idle to fast driving to slow trails. 10-15 on the trails being the higher end of the spectrum. I do have a shroud that goes in front of the blower to collect more heated air from the radiator and direct it into the blower and that would definitely help in extreme temps. Let me know if you would like to try it and I will send one out to you.

    • @vancemckeachnie5608
      @vancemckeachnie5608 Рік тому

      It's probably moving way too much air volume, it sounds extreme

    What is your output temperature on your center dash vents? I just installed this system in a 2020 Honda Talon 1000X4 Live valve with closed in cab and it is not that warm. I ran it for over a hour today and the outside temperature here was 40 degrees.

    • @wickedpeckeroffroad8669
      @wickedpeckeroffroad8669 Рік тому

      Take it out and drive it. The Talon engine doesn't get very warm at idle, especially at 40 degrees outside. Once it is being driven it heats up nicely. If you are driving it and it isn't warm enough, then it is time to start plugging up some of the holes that are letting in cold air. For example, the holes around the shifter, brake spring, doors, drains, windshield etc.

      @@tmossa I have not used a temp gun to get a reading on temp coming out of the vents. I would like to see some pictures of the install so I can see if there is anything that stands out. Specifically where the blower is mounted and how the hoses are routed. Also, you stated that you ran it for an hour, not that you drove it for an hour so I assumed that it was at idle. Sorry for the assumption. Normally the air coming out of the vents is very hot so I can only assume that something is not correct. We will try and get it figured out for you.

    • @tmossa
      @tmossa Рік тому

      @@wickedpeckeroffroad8669 Thanks for working with me to try and figure it out. When I say I ran it, it was on the road going 55 MPH as stated above, not idle. The fan is mounted exactly like yours in the video and as close to the radiator as possible without the fan blade hitting the marine blower. Even if I close off all vents beside the dash vents I do not get hot air. I have checked my antifreeze and engine operating temperature and all is normal. How do I get you the pictures of the install?

    Do you have any way of using this with a dual battery setup ?

    • @wickedpeckeroffroad8669
      @wickedpeckeroffroad8669 2 роки тому

      There are many dual battery setups, therefore it would have to be a custom install. I'm sure it could be done, you just might have to route around the battery or mount the blower lower if it could go under the battery. If you would like to install one just let me know in the comments section when ordering and I would include some extra hose to re-route.

    • @wickedpeckeroffroad8669
      @wickedpeckeroffroad8669 2 роки тому

      @@robertbokor6117 All that you would need is approximately 6" under the battery setup. You would have to make some sort of mount for the blower motor, but that shouldn't be very difficult. I would cut some extra length duct hoses for you for the extra length. If you would like to talk on the phone my number is 352-256-3483. Just leave a short message and I'll call you back.
