This podcast states different facts from all of the other videos and podcasts that I've seen. An example is the TurboMax being the only engine, whereas others say that there is still a base and TurboMax 2.7L 4 cyl engines.
Love all the changes!
Awesome truck, but there is no way I would spend so much money and get vehicle WITHOUT ventilated seats .
But where can I buy one? Not on lots that’s for sure
They should begin shipping very soon.
Are airbags required when tracking. a car?
I was wondering I got a 2019 blazer and I want a 5.7 hemi in it with turbos is that impossible
RS looks wider
Thanks for the video. Very informative of the new features. Must….upgrade my 2012 hahaha. Sending this to my wife for her viewing.
Why would Gm not just offer the diesel as a special order item for those of us who value the diesel.
It's all about the ROI. They need to test and validate the new diesel in the Escalade, test and pass emissions, crash, etc. These are not "cheap" activities... and they would only sell a handful, as they have been. So I'm guessing that the investment doesn't deliver a return, or a return big enough to warrant the investment. - Alex
Can you add a image on that background panel?
No
From an engineering POV the Z06 sounds great. That's fine if all you want to do is race. Just as important to the larger segment of high-end buyers is the interior quality and presentation. Show us the interior too. Tell us about the material used, features we can expect from the multimedia, seats, ease of removing and putting the top, etc.
They are pushing EVs basically, Disel was selling and you have to wait to get one, I just bought used model 22 luxury and had to go 2200 miles to get it, look at Europe the got Mercedes, BMW, and Volvo plug in hybrid Diesel, the problem they don't market Disel in the US like the bs EVs
I miss the second row bench😢
Couldn't find anything on the site, why did the Escalade get rid of the rear amber turn signals?
I am having an issue with my 2023 Traverse’s front passenger side upper DRL where the turn signal when activated starts as it should but after 3 dash indicator “clicks” the amber light from the LED doesn’t flash. It did it and for as much of no reason “fixed itself” and less than 12 hours later it stopped working again. All other amber/turn indicator lamps working correctly. The question is 1. Is there a relay as issue? 2. Is replacement of the entire front pass side upper DRL assembly the solution?
And I think that the steering wheel is more for function and not for looks I think it makes sense
If steering wheels were exclusively for function, we would still have wood grained circles with a trucker style knob. The reality is that the steering wheel has become as much about form as it it has about function. Heck, it’s the part that the driver comes into contact with more than anything else in the vehicle. So while functional, I’m not so sure about its form. - Alex
I don't think that the editor is a Ford guy he seems to really be a GM guy I've always been a Ford guy and I've never thought the Expedition looked like anything other than a Ford and I've never thought it played second fiddle to the GM products at any time
That’s an interesting set of opinions. Here are some facts: the Expedition has always been outsold by the Tahoe/Suburban. Fact, not an opinion. Second fiddle is exactly what the Expedition has been playing. Prove me wrong. - Alex
Is there a way to click brights on or off other than using the tablet radio?
The high beams? Sure, just pull on the left hand stalk. - Alex
For really dark roads you have high beam auto on/off which reacts faster than a driver to oncoming traffic or just pull back on the turn signal mast or maybe push forward, forgot which way.
Great presentation. As an individual who wants a superb Diesel Escalade and who has the money to buy one with cash, I am a bit surprised by your comments, 'What's thirty grand?' etc. The notion that money doesn't really matter to those who have money reveals ignorance as it avoids considering how the person got their money. I can pay $130K for what I want or I can pay $230K for what I want. I'll go with the lower price point when I can. In addition, fuel economy matters for the reasons you mention (range and less frequent times stopping at the pump) AND there's something to be said about using a fuel that has a variety of characteristics that may be important in the more chaotic world. coming.
Well, the first thin to say is that there's a good amount of tongue in cheek irony in my statement about the 30 grand. But the overall point is that those who want to make a statement about being "green" will likely be best served by the Escalade IQ, as diesel has not had a "green" image ever since the VW emissions fiasco. Note that I fully understand how perception does not correlate to reality there. - Alex
@@Motrolix I care little about what people think... 'Oh my, he cares for the environment!' What matters for me is that I get value and high utility. Think of this: Chaos happens and the gas stations are not serving up gasoline or diesel. What do you do? Have you thought abut this? And if you did: What did you come up with? Plan ahead. When do you prepare for the storm? Asking this is meant to illicit a response that will reveal one's mindset. Have you thought ahead and if you have what are your choices? Great show. I'm interested in meeting people who consider options leading to what will one day be seen as smart decisions.
That chrome strip under the radio is going to have a bad glare
please/ how do I get these floor mats . I've been searching everywhere
I don't believe that it's only 5%; he's just low-balling it. I strongly believe they only wants a certain class of people to buy Cadillacs as a high prestige vehicle. It's a lame excuse and they don't want you to know the real reason. The Cadillac Escalade Duramax 3.0L was a great seller overall. Come on GM - stop your petty lies and bring back the 3.0L Duramax in the Escalade. There are a lot of people who didn't even know that the Escalade had a Diesel engine, so if it was not selling as expected, then revive/revisit your Marketing Department and get them off their butts and do their work. It will sell with this new model for sure. Smarten up GM - Cadillac.
6.2L requires 93 octane. Diesel is cheaper than 93 octane. With a 25% improvement in mpg it is cheaper to run the LZ0 over 6.2L even figuring DEF. I think Cadillac owners don’t want to mess with DEF, smelly diesel, and checking oil as diesels will use some oil.
Answer: they were only selling 5% Escalades with diesel.
You are welcome.
Wish GM would simplify by bringing back the Camaro coupe with a V8.
Great video.
It seems like Cadillac doesn't like North America very much. Not sure I want to buy a vehicle from a producer that puts china first.
😍🤩🥰🫠🤑😮💨🤤
It looks better than the yukon.
Have to say I love the diesel engine on 2022 Escalade. We can get up to 43 mi per gallon on a road trip. My truck has the 6.2 but I actually prefer the diesel. I don't think I'll be doing any racing in a SUV.
Typical 2020's malaise era crap. Does GM know any color besides black black and black? Even the headliner and pillars are now black when before they at least had the sense to make them grey to break thinks up a little. GM can do better
Ambient lighting?
Still no auto brake hold on Tahoe??
Same thing happened with my 2019 Silverado Custom Trail Boss. My favorite thing about it is that it's not loaded with features and luxuries that I don't need, want or use. And I got the Double cab. So it kept the cost down. Now the Custom TB comes with more stuff, only comes in a crew cab, etc etc. So the cost has shot way up for one. Sucks that it used to be affordable to many and they have ruined that now. I see they are doing that with the Colorado TB as well. It's another $2,500 in 2025 for more stuff I don't need. smh
Now I know it isn’t a Cadillac, but can you do video on your thoughts on the updated 2025 Buick Lacrosse?
Hopefully, there's a reason it took Cadillac so long to offer a V-Series version of the Lyriq, and like all other V-Series models, I'm assuming GM MagneRide suspension will be offered, ok, guessing time off max power output, I’m assuming at least 650 to 700 HP / 700 to 750 TQ, now, will the Lyriq V-Series get a Blackwing version as well is the question, also please improve the charging speed, it kind of reminds me of the 2nd gen CTS V-Series wagon
Is the HUD not a thing anymore?
I just bought one and changing the radio station while driving is a pain, There is no physical knob and you have to swipe the screen while driving or use the shitty small buttons behind the steering wheel. I’m not impressed with it
Also in other countries where the Escalade is sold the diesel is actually the preferred model over the gasoline model specially in the Caribbean where gasoline prices are much higher than diesel prices for some reason
Only that the Escalade is not sold in the Caribbean by Cadillac, so it's a non-starter. - Alex
Ok, GM needs to have a recall-don't see that happening anytime soon. I have a 2018 Colo, went to the dealer and read the GM bulletin and had the techs do the trans flush twice,$600+, over a week later same problem. So I added Lube Guard, twice, fixed it then about 2 weeks later problem returned. Is there a fix, solution for this problem? Oh, and it shifts better if you turn on the "tow/haul", will that cause any problems?
They just want to sell the ICE gas engine so they can keep making sure they ppl keep coming back to buy. Diesel engine car owners buy new vehicles less often
How is the Lyric V being announced before the SS Blazer has even started production!?!?!
Great Review - Plenty of Details. The Shark Fin is unnecessary and I prefer the LT Fully Load Trim over the RS Trim due to the lack of chrome and aluminum on the RS. Piano Roof Rails are also unnecessary and should be replace with multifunction roof rails like the Subaru Outback with built in swing out crossbars. I believe the 2025 Chevy Equinox and It’s stablemate the GMC Terrain should replace the 1.5 Turbo with the 2.0 Turbo engine found in the Cadillac XT4. Chrome Exhaust Tips would get it a more sporty appearance. The Toe Hitch should have a cover not a cut out.
The interior is nice, but it really bugs me how Chevy puts their drive features on the left side. In my opinion it should be on the right hand side with 2H, 4H, 4L and trailer braking features.
I think most of us appreciate them on the left because they are ugly and so rarely used, and simply require a twist or push. This coming from a guy that started on a 79 3/4 ton with 4x4 on the floor and mechanical hubs.
@ honestly I’d love a newer truck with a front bench seat and a manual transmission with a manual 4x4 shifter on the floor
Can you show us if it comes with ambient light please ? I heared it come with it but nobody show us how its look
It dosent it’s a package dosent come with the high country
STOP. New EV motors coming from China that are compact in size are over 500hp on on 800 volt architecture. Same spec vehicles in the coming years will cost LESS than 30k in China. Banning these cars from coming to the U.S is just prolonging the inevitable.
I like EV’s which don’t line the pockets of a fascist-supporting billionaire (AKA Musk-rat).
Would like to see a Duramax 6.6 liter option
The Lyriq V will definitely make more horsepower than the Blazer ev double s . And it can't be close or Cadillac will be stuck with a bunch of em . GM is customary slow in production , which gives the competition a chance to make a lot of money before GM shows their hand . But I think that it's an intentional tardiness , to make sure that they reign undisputed . I am an owner of a 2024 Lyriq awd and while it doesn't accelerate as aggressively as my friends Teslas , we finish the quarter mile around the same time . And after the drag racing arguments , there's no argument on who looks better , inside and out . But back to the Lyriq V series , all this vehicle has to do is be faster than the competition , which is other evs like the Teslas and the Lucids and they silent killers as well , so the Lyriq will be good . Now if you like a lot of noise , buy a gas fueled vehicle and see if all that noise gets you to the finish line quicker . "Laissez les bon temps rouler" Cadillac , that's all I got , y'all have a good evening and I'm out 🎭
I heard 900 horse power
