Good luck with dog sitting. Hope that side hustle continues to grow! My mom challenged me to make $500 on FB marketplace and I was able to go beyond my goals. I mostly sold plants and home stuff but kinda interesting in reselling clothes. Might start flipping thrifted stuff!

Didn't consider quitting, but I did have an incident that destroyed my garage (where I keep my inventory), so I am in the process of delisting items and cleaning up the mess. I'll have to clean everything, see what's worth holding onto, and resisting all over again. I have over 2,000 items, so I'm pretty sure starting from scratch is the easiest route. Kinda there with you!

As a pet sitter, some patrons of Rover (particularly those used to many amenities being available 24/7) expect instant gratification. There are those that will contact you within less than 24 hrs for a long term sit/multiple overnight stay (not sufficient notice if you are a well known business owner with a large clientele..Rover allows you to set your own service limits) and if they do not receive an immediate booking confirmation will move on to the other 4 sitters they contacted at the same time or proceed to judge you as a person. Patrons of Rover rarely read your terms as a sitter. That being said, make sure your clients know of any additional charges up front (distance, number of pets, special accommodations, etc.). I not only have a college degree related to the industry, but many years of experience and deserve respect as a human and professional. My terms are not only my prerogative, but allow for animal care curated specifically to each pets needs. If I’m going to entrust a member of my family in someone else’s care I’ll want them to have all of the details and be able to see where their going, how the person treats their pet(s), does my dog respond well to them and the environment, etc. I would suggest to ALWAYS meet the sitter or client in person before any legally-binding agreement is made (don’t submit to book the job until you’re sure it’s a good fit)! So, if I can impart anything in this comment, please respect the process so we can make certain to deliver quality care to your fur baby. You are not ordering a coffee at Starbucks. *yes, modifying a booking is always an option. But you’re saving everyone involved less of a headache in contacting tech support if that potential client decides to act maliciously. *Also, it’s up to the sitter on how to construct the fiscal terms of meet and greets. Mine are complimentary (but I also thoroughly review the person before adding them as a potential client). Honestly, I cannot say enough about quality control here. Upfront research and time management has allowed me to add new clients, and thankfully, offer repeat service to each and every one over the years.

Also big and strong are two different things a *strong* dog often means its not very well trained 😂 Big dogs can be very sweet and soft even if they are strong! Just be careful ^-^ personality means more than breed sometimes!

Been a petsitter for over a decade this is all true and great advice never had to use doggy diapers tho 😅 but primarily I've done at the owners house petsitting , and even with that it takes a few days for the dogs to adjust to your presence! Having a big foldable backup crate may be useful to have on hand! Excellent video and good luck !

Ebay and Goodwill are culprits of killing what used to be one of the best side hustles for stay at home parents, the disabled and retirees. Thanks for sharing your side hustle ideas! I started selling on Poshmark a few months ago. I'm just trying to make some extra money as a stay at home mom. I plan on putting some money in a CD since I don't need it for bills. We rely on my husband's income. I have found sales to be slow except for my higher end items like Johnny Was and Tory Burch. I'm going to hit the Goodwill outlet in the new year. It looks blackish because you had hair that was too light for the dye. In general, you can only dye it darker max 2 shade numbers from your current hair without needing to "fill" the hair first. Your blonde hair was missing all of the underlying pigments that comprise up brown hair. Think of mixing paint for your walls, to get that color you'd need to mix red, yellow, blue, and white in varying amounts. Blonde is missing the red tones (unless it's strawberry blonde or nearly light brown type of blonde. So when you skipped all of those in between numbers with a heavy emphasis on the red, it turns green cast and can look muddy or blackish. You have to fill the hair with something like a strawberry blonde, a level 6 or 7, and then you can dye over it with whatever end goal brunette shade you want to be. If you don't want to do all of that when dying hair darker from blonde, stay within 2 from it. So, say you're starting blonde is a number 9 on the shade chart for the brand you are using, and you want it a number 6 light brown, you have to dye it with at least something halfway between 9 and a 6, so since hair goes from 1 to 10, and you want warm tones, that generally to be safe in all lines is going to be strawberry blonde. It doesn't need to be pumpkin orange or burgundy red, just a tinge of ginger to the blonde. Here is a color chart down below with common colors just to give you an idea. :D 1 (black)/2(dark brown)/3/4/5(medium brown)/6(light brown)/7(dark blonde or ginger)/8(dirty blonde)/9(very light blonde)/10 (platinum bleach blonde)
