Final Cut Pro 11 Updates Explained: DaVinci Resolve & Premier Pro Killer?
#fcpx #finalcutpro #apple #editing
So, are these updates worth it? While Final Cut Pro 11 has some exciting tools, it’s not without its drawbacks. Ultimately, it depends on your specific needs and budget. If you’re looking for a software that leverages Apple’s hardware to the max and you’re into the new AI tools, it might be worth it. But if you’re all about the advanced color grading or if budget is a factor, DaVinci Resolve might actually give you more bang for your buck

    FYI i collect 20 helios 44 from early to last version, my concern about quality, as long you using KMZ and BeLOMO ones always render great result, what you showing in this video and consider as Better than 44-2 are absolutely wrong for me, because yours are valdai production version where yg e quality are far below standard in contrast, sharpness and color rendering because it was economic version, but if you using helios 44, 44-2, 44m which produce by KMZ and beLOMO we can start talk about quality.. my concern using valdai version is totally bad quality even you use NOS in good condition due to manufacturing process.. so it gonna be more fair if you comparing 44-2 and 44M because it was on same class

      Sounds about right. The 6 is a more recent version so it should be sharper. How are you liking it so far?

    • @ovi-diy
      @ovi-diy 16 днів тому

      @@temitayoisme I think that the 6 has better coatings. The Helios is an awesome lens. I like it better than any modern lens. My first digital camera was a Sony ZVE10 with a Sigma 16mm F1.4 lens. I was disappointed with the image (being used to old film cameras with vintage lenses). But then, I bought the Helios (I remembered it from film school when I used to take pictures on a Zenith camera) and WOW! What an improvement it was over the Sigma. 10000 times better. That Sigma had such a sterile, uninspiring, non-artistic look that I ended up using it only for photographing documents and things like that. Then I sold it. And people LOVE these Sigmas... I will never understand why. The Helios, on the other hand, delivers cinematic-looking footage straight from the camera. I think it has the correct level of sharpness. More is odd, looks cheap. I then got into Canon FD SSC lenses and I have to say that those are my true love..

    I don't quite agree with these cons. The Komodo is a cinema camera designed for controlled environments, not a run-and-gun setup. For me, a non-optional accessory is my matte box with a variety of filters. The same goes for audio. On almost every shoot where I use my Red Komodo, I have a dedicated sound technician and timecode, reinforcing that this is a controlled environment. Yes, it could have been more power-efficient, but that has never been a major issue for me. I have four 99Wh V-mount batteries, which get me through the day. When a battery dies, we charge it immediately and never run out of power.

    • @temitayoisme
      @temitayoisme 19 днів тому

      Thanks for checking out the video. The Komodo was literally designed as a crash cam but I do agree that it’s use has since evolved offering different users in different environments options to work with. Not everyone with a Komodo has a sound technician, & when you’re filming a long doc or taking gear to inaccessible places, every kg matters (including the MatteBox & filters).

    • @Gloryvisuals
      @Gloryvisuals 19 днів тому

      @@temitayoismeI think the point of the comment is that the Komodo is not the right tool for the job if you’re shooting docs without a crew. The FX6 is a vastly superior for that specific application in my humble opinion.

    Hey, brother, thanks for the good video. If you take into consideration that the Komodo 6K was built as a crash camera, you understand that there was no need for it to have internal ND's. As per power, the Komodo has 37 watts of power draw. Now, I hate making comparisons, but hear me out; The BMPCC6K requires 25 Watts. When you supply external power to the camera and leave the battery in it, it will be charged, but the camera will require another 8 watts! The BM cameras I had, including the 6KFF I still have, last for about 30 minutes when you record in B-Raw, which, for me, isn't good enough. On the other hand, I never had any issues with the Komodo 6K using either those BP batteries or the Anton Bauer once. I have plenty of time to film without worrying about power.

    • @temitayoisme
      @temitayoisme 20 днів тому

      Thanks for watching brother. While I agree with the original build intention as a crash cam, the majority of people who ended up owning it have never used it or bought it specifically for that and that’s where the overlap surfaces. Not sure how BM cameras also handle power draw but I think most cinema cameras consume a ridiculous amount of power, perhaps a more sustainable solution will surface in the future. Good times for creators

      Thanks for watching. I assume you're talking about the Zhiyun crane gimbal. This is not a gimbal for majority of people looking into these lenses. Even with that, i don't know how heavy the c70 is but the Komodo is almost twice the size of it, probably three when you start to factor in power and accessories. If you're on a Dji Ronin series, there's no way you can balance this combo on that. Even if it was a mirrorless camera, it would be very front heavy. Hope it helps

    Too soft for my taste. I think would be a natural cutting with Mir, Tair, ect.

      I own the Mir and I think they can match perfectly

    Great video man. Im looking to build my rig for the a7iv and looking up videos that help. Only thing i didnt get was base you already had on the cage before placing it on the base plate. Thought you’d explain why that was on there but you moved from the cage straight to the nicey rig. If you could kindly explain that’ll be most helpful thanks

      Its a manfrotto style base plate that does two things, Connect my 15mm rods and quickly detach the camera from the tripod. I created two points of contact. First baseplate, incase i wanted to remove the camera and leave the base rods. Second, incase i wanted to carry everything off of the tripod. Hope that helps

    rotate the top handle 180 degrees. It makes things more balanced and easier to carry for long periods of time

      Might be but not practical for my setup, I use an easy rig and connect my insta360 to the top

      Interesting, never heard of it before. Will look it up. Is it also an M42 mount?

    The Komodo and Komodo X definitely need new firmware updates. They can't use the newer RF lenses.

    all helios 44 58mm variants are pretty much based on the Zeiss Biotar and thus should perform very similarly, with greatest variation being outer shell and what factory they were made in (Valdai<KMZ<BelOMO)

    Great video and lens but there actually is a wide angle Helios ! The Helios 28mm f/2.8 was made in Japan not the USSR but it’s technically a Helios
