Welcome to my UA-cam channel. My name is Sam Bistline. I have been a railroader all my life. I started with my dad back in 1986, with my dad trying to save the M&P railroad from York to Delta pa. My father and I volunteered at the village of Muddy Creek forks. In August of 1988, the K4 1361 steam engine came to my hometown of York pa. I was about 8 years old. I had never seen anything like it before. Then my mom and dad got tickets, and we rode behind her. At that time, we saw the first section motor cars that followed up the train. After school, all I wanted to do is work for the railroad. My first job was on the M&H Railroad. I was there as a labor, then a track foreman. Then I left and went to the Gettysburg railroad for a few years. Then I moved over to be a railroad contactor with a company called TRAC here in Mechanicsburg pa. After time, it was time went back to the railroad and back Gettysburg. I am still volunteering at M&P at mcf. 28 years later.
