Great cover! All of you have improved a lot lately. The six-string guitar still sounds out of tune with itself. If the tuner shows that the strings are in tune and it still sounds out, then the intonation needs to be set. You can either look up how to do this on YT, or have a guitar tech take care of it. If you do it yourself, make sure to put on new strings first. Keep it going ladies! 🤘🏻🤘🏻

Ok, deep dive incoming, because I'm blown away by this song. Those who don't care, ignore. Those who are interested, click and be ready for a book. First, for context: I discovered Black Ice Diamonds via their cover of The Warning's version of Enter Sandman and a couple of other older songs. At the time I thought "Hmm, there's potential. Come back later and see what they can do." I offered some encouraging comments, and went on. Then this morning UA-cam decided to pop THIS song into my suggestions. I've now gone through all BID's videos, which as a whole provide some background. Second: I'll make reference to The Warning, not only because they are an inspiration for Black Ice Diamonds, but because they're one of the best bands in the world today, who ten years ago were where these girls are now, and are also a great role model for all aspiring musicians. Third: I have musicians in my family, listen to a lot of music of all different kinds, and have been a rocker since I was a teenager in the 1980s, but I'm no musician, so these comments are from an interested layperson, not a pro. Fourth: When I first heard this song, I hadn't seen BID's other original music. It is beautiful, but THIS is the the one, the song and style of song that I think could make their name. It has a unique sound like nothing I've heard, and I've heard a lot. It's haunting, powerful, and beautiful. Will go into detail below. The setup, from what I can see - I welcome any and all corrections, because I could always be mistaken on who I think is doing what. I'll direct these at the band, since this is their channel: Vocals and Lead Guitar: the eldest sister, on the left. Remi, I think from other videos. You're a hugely talented guitarist, including the acoustic work when you were only 11 years old. Vocally, you have power and potential. Your long notes are incredible. The high notes in mid-song can still use work, but even Dany Villareal couldn't always do what she can now. Female vocalists in particular often peak later, and when young find it harder to bring heavy or ultra-strong sounds into their voice than male vocalists do at the same age. But they still can. Dany has achieved it younger than most vocalists. With hard work like her, you could too. In an earlier comment, I mentioned how I thought the vocals sounded like they might be in the Appalachian style. Specifically, I mean your fantastic sustained tone and vocal inflection on the long vowel notes in the early song and certain points later. I don't know if you girls have Appalachian heritage, or were influenced by the style, or if it is just a coincidence... but regardless, that's exactly what they do, and it results in some of the most haunting, soulful voice work in the world. For people who have no idea what I'm talking about, when I have a chance I'll add links of examples in comments below this one. Bassist: The middle sister in the flannel shirt. My apologies but I didn't see the names of anyone but Remi. You're doing exactly what bassists should do, which is to be the the foundation and rock of the song. You keep your cool, and from what I can see, have that sort of methodical, possibly introverted personality that so many good bassists do. It is reminiscent of Alejandra Villareal. Keep it up, stay cool, be a machine on your instrument, and you can rock the world. Rhythm Guitar: The littlest sister on the right. I've seen you in various positions in the band, but you are VERY, and I mean VERY good on rhythm. I think you've found your instrument. That slow, distortion-heavy style absolutely rocks, and it pulls people into the song. You also show some of the same natural energy as Pau and Dany, like a born rockstar. Keep that up and you will have audiences in your hand. Drummer: You have power, and you bring the thunder. Since you girls are Warning fans, you may have seen the videos of Pau as a teenager when she went absolutely berserk on the drums, like Animal from the Muppets. She plays with a more economical style now, conserving her energy for long sets, yet hits with just as much power. That is a great example to follow. Overall: I think you've found your style in this song. Every band has it's natural style, based on the skillset and temperaments of the musicians who make it up. Some people are naturally gifted towards fast music, others toward light and pop-y, etc.. Yours, I think, is THIS - slow, heavy, powerful, rhythmic, melodic, emotional, haunting... I don't know what more to call it, because it is yours and no one else's, but it absolutely rocks! I mentioned The Warning as role models, and they really are. They stay away from the party lifestyle that has destroyed so many musicians, and stay close to their father, mother and their family. They're also good role models as women - strong and feminine. Although tremendous natural talents, prodigies, they didn't just rest on that. They have worked HARD for years to perfect their skills as musicians, touring, practicing and training to get where they are. You could do no better than to follow their example. You're young, born to the internet, so you know all the negative things that can show up. Don't sweat it, don't fear it. Take the constructive criticism, use it to become stronger, to develop your skills. Don't worry about the haters, they have nothing to say that matters. Like any young band, you have work to do, but you are off to a fantastic start. The difference between now and your earlier videos shows. You've put in practice, and the results are now coming in Keep at it. I hope that someday you can tour with The Warning, who inspired you as earlier bands like Muse inspired them. Don't give up, and someday you'll be headliners too. The best to you!

Thank you so much. This comment really means a lot to us. I’m Remi and I’m 15 now. We’ve been playing music our whole lives but it wasn’t until a few years ago that we started playing as a band. I’ve been playing guitar for eight years and piano for ten. I started writing my own music when I was eleven but doing it as a band is so much cooler. Just being able to hear a whole song with guitars, bass, drums, and vocals and thinking “We came up with that. That’s our song.” It’s a really special feeling. I love music and I know that this is what I want to do with my life. We always appreciate it when someone gives us support in a comment and this one specifically means a lot to us. So thank you -Remi

Great song! This is the first original music I've heard of yours. I don't think I've ever heard a sound style exactly like that. It's striking, and recognizably your own, which is a fantastic thing for any band, especially a young band just starting out. That slow, epic rhythm-heavy pace really suits your play style. The vocals almost sound in the Appalachian style - they're haunting.

Imagine if they love it!
