OBD II / OBD2 not ready for smog check
Video 1/2 : OBDII not ready: My 2002 Toyota 4Runner failed smog check readiness. The CATALYST is INCOMPLETE. What solved it is to Rev the CAR @ 3000 while on PARK/NEUTRAL in an open space area for 3 minutes. and then drove it for between 35-45 miles per hour for 15 minutes. I also drove it for 50 miles per hour for 15 mins. Then I tested it again , CATALYST OK after that. Meaning, it’s ready for smog check!

Let me know if it also work for you.

I have a 2002 Toyota Tacoma and it failed for readiness. I will get a scan tool and follow your advice to see if my catalyst is working before I take another readiness check.
I just had the same problem you had with the OBDII not ready when I got my smog check done on my 2005 Honda CR-V.
How did you fixs it ?
@@KINGVIC87 I had to drive my Honda CR-V 100 consecutive miles in order for the car to pass smog.
@@marlon94124 oh ok thanks
I'm have the same problem. They told me to drive it for at least 100 miles. Then i can come back for a smog re-test. But i have a question. Did you keep the engine light on? Or turn it off before going back for re-test?
Hey Marlon. Was your engine light on when it didn't the pass the smog test?
