Welcome to my INDOOR growing succulents channel! 🌵
I fell in LOVE with succulents back in 2020( when a lot of us were bored at home trying to keep busy 😜)
Now I’m ready to share my own indoor succulent collection that has grown exponentially in the past few years. What I have learned and all the tips and tricks I wish someone had told me right from the start. I am hoping that I can help others with growing their own succulents indoors and watching them GROW happily and healthy.
I have been “forced”😝 to grow ALL of my succulents indoors living in MinneSNOWta, USA (Zone 5a) where it is WAY too cold to grow succulents outside 6 months out of the year here. So after many mistakes and a LOT of learning (I’m still always learning😅)
....I have figured out a way to successfully grow succulents indoors and just want to share it with the world. ❤️
Hope you enjoy planting with me! 🥰

Thrift Store Pot Haul - Save Money Thrifting Pots for your Succulents at your local Used Goods Shop
This is just another addiction to add to the “succulent addiction”. 😜😆
After watching this video you will see WHY I believe pots make collecting and this OBSESSION for succulents so much MORE fun! 🤩
The pot is EVERYTHING. The right pot makes such a difference. It can make or break the look of the succulent. The pot can either add to the beauty of your succulent or detract from the look of your succulent. And I LOVE looking for items at thrift stores that I can use for my beautiful succulents that brings out their beauty even more. It also adds a lot of character to your indoor and outdoor succulent garden. And is a ton of fun to search for pots. It’s an adventure!

Stem Rot on my Neon Breakers succulent and how I treat it.

This is a quick video showing you what I do for my succulents when they get stem rot. Today’s video is showcasing one of my Neon Breaker succulents that I have growing in a coffee cup with no drainage holes. I barely water this succulent because it doesn’t have a drainage hole. And is probably why it got stem rot. Although I’m VERY careful with watering it. Just goes to show you that it’s very ...

The first plant is Sedum weinbergli, mother of pearl. The jade is Dollar tree, lucky plant, money plant, money tree. The 3 rd is coppertone stone crop. Lavender scallops. You really should treat your plants for bugs before taking them inside.

@@Police_wife08 Doesn’t it remind you of a Red Mushroom? 🍄 I just love it! Now I have TWO! 🥰
@@ForeverASucculentAddict yes, or a dress from the 60’s!! I love it 🥰 I have a few new Echeveria’s coming this week - super excited!! I’m having a horrible time w/an Afterglow🤷🏼♀️any advice??
@@Police_wife08 So exciting!! Which ones do you have coming? As far as the Afterglow is concerned in my experience with them they need lots of light and because of their thinner leaves they need to be watered more often than my thicker leaves Echeverias. They are kind of more finicky Echeverias. When I bought mine is was a 4 inch pot size. Now it’s in a 6 inch pot. It has grown pretty fast for me. So I’m not sure how long you have had yours but mine did do well after I potted it up in new soil mix and a bigger pot. I would need to know how you are growing yours, how much light it gets, size, what soil mix you have it in and when you last potted it up. How long have you had it? It’s hard to advise without all the info. ☺️
@@ForeverASucculentAddict I have a red chocolate, hearts delight, red pagoda shark tooth, Irene, topsy turvy, chihuahuaensis (?) & red lady…whoa!! Until I wrote it down. I didn’t realize how much I ordered😳I best get busy finding room in my greenhouse for all that🤦🏼♀️LOL
@@ForeverASucculentAddict okay the Afterglow..1st I started my hobby/collection around February 2024, I have probably 80 to 90 succulents at this point. I like to make my own potting mix 🤦🏼♀️ my base is from repotme imperial succulent, then I use a touch of regular succulent potting mix, I add pumice, a touch of charcoal, MSU slow release fertilizer, maifanitam stones & horticulture lava rock. It’s a great fast draining, gritty mix my plants love it👍🏼my AG arrived with mealie bugs😑treated it - became very dehydrated..is now sitting in seaweed solution and the leaves are plumping up..finally!! I’ve had it since the end of May, (it came in a 4 inch pot)but it has not grown any new roots🫤

TY!! This one was a 2 inch size too when I first got it. Slowly but surely it’s getting bigger and bigger. Especially after I did the head chop. ☺️
So pretty!!!
Love it!!!
This one is one of my favorites in my collection. I just love that center part! 😍

If you watch the entire video I share where I purchased them from. Also it’s in the title thumbnail. And in the description as well. Hope that helps. ❤

Nope. Not this time….Thanks for watching! ❤️
Thanks for sharing. What is the top dressing that you use and where did you buy it?

Liz is the BEST!!! Love her - she’s amazing!! Also I enjoy watching the channel (Joy Garden | Succulent) im in awe at their set up..not much talking but the plants😳they are breathtaking!!!
Liz really is the BEST!! I was so sad to hear of her husbands recent passing. Did you know about that? So sad.😭 I watch her videos as soon as they come out and support her as much as I can. She is the CUTEST!! Her personality is so much fun! And she always makes me giggle. Her bird is adorable! I love their interactions with one another. I’m so glad she has her precious “Baby P” and her succulents to get her through the grief of her loss. Wish I could give her a BIG hug! I can’t even imagine what she is going through. ❤️ Joy Garden I follow that channel as well. It’s such a relaxing channel with BIG beautiful succulents going across the screen. That channel I could just go through their videos and watch for DAYS. It’s SO RELAXING. I have to admit….I ENVY a bit when I see their plants and how BIG they are and also their space and location to grow so many succulents. Same with Liz. I really would LOVE to be able to grow outdoors all year round. 💕
@@ForeverASucculentAddict Yes, I did know about her hubby💔so so very sad.. i cannot even begin to imagine. She cracks me up. I ordered some of that soil treatment that I saw in this video and I was wondering, how long can you let your succulent sit in that solution?
I have let mine sit in the solution for a little over a week before. I treat it just like I would propagating any plant. You eventually need to change the water otherwise it gets gross. The water will get nasty if you leave it too long. Which isn’t good for the plant. I wouldn’t leave it longer than a week. Then I use regular clean water if the plant is still thirsty and is not fully plump yet. Right now I still have the “Wedding Dress” in regular water since this video. It still isn’t plump all the way. And I change the water like every 3 days. It’s also grown new roots for me while sitting in the water. I’m guessing in another week it will be FINALLY fully plump and ready to plant in soil mix and in a pot. Hope that helps. ❤️

Hate to tell you but ; yes, if you leave the tropical plants outside, they will die, but more than likely when the weather heats up they will spring back up out of those pots😂!! I love them!! Love your succulents!!!
I’m so ready for the tropical plants to die. 😝I’m so done with taking care of them. They don’t like me much. 😆 My house indoors is set to “succulent weather temps”. 😎 It’s just too dry for most tropicals in my home. But they LOVE being outdoors in my humid summer weather. The plant that you thought was a topsy turvy is a cubic frost. Your fairy garden is so cute! Also greetings to you from a former Minnesotan.
THANK YOU so much!! Yes!! That’s the one. I always forget. 😅 I appreciate you letting me know. ❤ You used to live in MinneSNOWta? Small world! Was it the cold and snow that made you want to move? That’s usually why people leave this state. It’s also why I think about leaving myself. So I can move somewhere where I can grow my succulents outdoors ALL YEAR ROUND. 😁
@@ForeverASucculentAddict I lived in Brooklyn Center, Minnesota during my junior high and high school years. After high school, I moved to California. I was never really fond of the cold and snow. I love Lola’s too! I love your little pink house at 19.00 minutes. My favourite succulent I think is the laui, hard to keep alive but such a beautiful pink! New subscriber from Australia here.🎉🎉🎉
Thank you so much!! I love Laui’s too! I have one that’s about 4 to 5 inches that I grow inside under my grow lights. I have heard they can be quite finicky growing outdoors. Is that where you are growing yours? I’m assuming that being in Australia you can probably grow outdoors all year, right? I have a few Australian UA-camrs that I follow that grow outdoors all year round. “Growing Succulents With Liz”, “The Morning Chorus”, “Succulent Growing Tips” and a few others. I just drool watching their videos with all their beautiful succulents growing outdoors. It’s just impossible with my climate to do that. Zone 4 in Minnesota USA. Fascinating! Does the rot come from too much water? How great that it is visible and removable in chunks like that! Beautiful variety. You make it look easy, but I know better!👏🏽🪴👏🏽
Haha! Thank you!! 💕 Yes. It’s from too much moisture. Thankfully I caught it in time before it went all the way up to the top. 😅
What a charming deck you have! Great job grouping your succulents into little fairy gardens! I make fairy houses out of found objects and natural things I find in the woods. (So I'm a believer!😉) Thank you for sharing! You've inspired me to give my succulents some TLC today. I'm in Massachusetts, so mine are inside the majority of the year - and they do pretty well under grow lights, if I don't drown them😂 Great job! 👏🏽🪴🧚🏾♀️🧚🏻🧚🏽♂️🍄
Thank you so much!! It’s really so much fun to create these little worlds within my succulents. I’m OBSESSED! 😍 Would love to see how you take natural things and turn them into fairy houses. That’s so intriguing to me! Love that! I’m in Minnesota so like you my succulents remain indoors also. All year round with grow lights. I have hundreds of Echeveria in my own personal collection. And a few others. I mainly collect Echeverias. I just think they are so BEAUTIFUL. I like to take a few from my collection (the more common ones) that I won’t cry if they die 😅 Outside so I can enjoy the beauty when I’m outside on my deck. But this is the second year out of the 4 years that I’ve been collecting and growing succulents that I brought them outside. Still learning of course. ☺️ And this year I thought it would be so much fun to create a fairy garden theme. And I couldn’t even begin to imagine how much joy it would bring me. And now I’m hooked. 😆😁 Thanks so much for checking out my little channel and for giving me your sweet comment. Made my day! ❤️
@@ForeverASucculentAddict My pleasure! Your channel popped up yesterday and the words succulents and fairies roped me right in. As a condo dweller, I envy your lovely outdoor space! An example of my fairy house components are oatmeal canisters! I make "towers" out of them - I wallpaper the inside with scrapbook paper and cut out windows. I use tiny twigs as window frames. I use individual pieces of pine cones as shingles for the outside or for the roofs. (Now THAT is painstaking and sticky work!😅) Decorate with acorns, feathers, snail shells - anything interesting I find walking my dog. And, usually, the main part of each house starts with some kind of hollowed out piece of wood and I go from there! So many wonderful (and expensive 😳) dollhouse and fairy house figurines at Michael's, etc - those are the finishing touches. Anyway, your succulents are gorgeous! And anybody would enjoy sitting out there with the big yard view and the miniature view you created! 👏🏽🍄🧚🏽♂️👏🏽
