Thanks for posting this. Was having a vibration that sounded like it was in the dash, but I couldn't isolate. When driving, I had a pinging, like there was a loose heat shield, but I couldn't find one. Mine was not nearly as bad as yours. I could feel it was loose by wiggling it by hand, but touching a mechanics stethoscope on it was enough pressure to prevent rattling. Removed it, and sounds have gone.

Yes, it's a track day - not a race. If you don't like running near someone, pit in, let him get way ahead (and speak to the track steward if you wish), then go out to a clear track. And each time he pointed you to the inside of the upcoming corner which is usually the correct thing to do.

Do you have stock mid pipe and stock catalytic converter?

If the engine guard or splash panel or whatever it is that has to be removed for an oil change isn't tightened enough, it will cause creaking noises.

I have similar story. Turned into turn 3 on warm up lap and felt a flutter in my brake pedal. Took home and discovered I had 2 piece hub! Immediately bought a couple Miatahubs billet hubs from Goodwin for more piece of mind. Note, the broken hub put a lot of stress on my brake rotor which was warped and also had to be replaced. I know you run floating rotors, so may not have same risk, but thought I’d mention it.

With the thickness of the frame I'd put a thread in these holes and screwed directly into them. Not everyone has a tap though. Thanks for showing this.
