your better than the majority of natives mate!
Glad to have you here Rimas.
Not sure why this popped up on my feed today, but I’m glad it did. Thank you for making this video. We’re lucky to have you here.
I'm British and I always smile at strangers. It's automatic. I don't know why this is.
You are so right, Rimas. You are better off to stay in Lithuania. You’ll always be seen as a foreigner and will never fit in. It’s even worse for brown people and they should definitely stay home. At least you’re not Polish and living in Slough…they despise them even more than the Indo-Paks. All has something to do with the Polish Air Force and the bombing of Coventry….I've never exactly understood it. But, in any case, probably best to go home.
This illustrates the value of common courtesy. Everyone benefits if people are able to present a face of grace and consideration regardless of how they really feel and so everyone feels better. The converse is the problem of the Internet where people tell total strangers what they really feel so everyone feels worse and worse.
I had a friend in the mid-1980s who was the University-age son of Polish exiles from World War 2. Of course his English was native, and you wouldn't know he was Polish unless he told you. I was visiting him at his home, some of his parents' Polish friends were there speaking in Polish, I didn't understand a word but then I heard one of them (by then in his late 60s) say 'chest infection' in the middle of a stream of Polish, which made me laugh. For the first generation it is probably impossible to feel at home in England, but I hope you feel welcome.
How do domestic pets like dogs and cats cope with -30 C? They I presume are used to being indoors unlike wild animals who are used to it.
It's not a fake smile. Its a non-verbal way of saying hello to people you walk past. Its about being polite and friendly. That is English culture.
Your worth being here friend.
Im actually native American Choctaw nation at13 I moved to the UK to be with my dad i live it here great people great history and culture my dad was Welsh i love wales the banter and the history great 😊
I'm considered to be on the "far right". I am anti mass migration especially from certain parts of the world. That being said I would happily take in millions of people like you! You DO fit in
breviet drugmoi.
haha warter haha be your self :)
of course you fit in i dont have issues with eastern europeans i speak to many people from over there. U.K is different all over your welcome if you have similar values and yes its not easy for poorer people here chin up buddy :)
People used to have bigger families and be more socially connected with each other. However once the nuclear family started trending people began to become more isolated as their social networks started shrinking. 👍🏻
Apart from our crap weather the UK is the best country in the world to live in, and I've lived in a few. By now you must enjoy a cup of tea like the rest of us 😆😆😆
Appreciate the enthusiasm but best country... LOL. I'm from USA and in Atlanta we are getting a lot of UK people. All they say is how trash it was and how noone does anything about the problems. I know people who live there that absolutely can't wait to leave. Its a good thing if he's coming from Eastern Europe, it's an improvement (not so much these days). Poland is becoming a power because Poles are going back home. There are many great places in the world, but using hyperbole on the UK seems a bit silly 😂
I think you fit into British society well Rimas dont put your self down pal .
Dear Rimas, we would have been stuck without east europeans in the factory where i used to work. so please don't feel you don't belong here. All the best from scarborough.
I met my wife in Scarborough in 1965.We were sailing from Gdanks Poland with timber to Scarborough. So many years ago.
I live in a flat and I luv shutting my front door and seeing no one as I luv my own space… I do say hello to neighbours when passing and will do small talk for five minutes. 😁
glad you like it mate, thanks for sharing
This was nice to hear mate :) quite moving actually!
Tell an English person they are lovely and they'll forget all about the miseries of mass immigration.
I am English and I live in London. London does not look British anymore. The British have not been having enough babies since the 1970s and are in numerical decline. All population increase is coming from immigrants and their descendants. If I had the money I would leave to avoid the anger I feel at the ongoing loss of my country.
Rimas, you are so welcome here. I hope that for the rest of your time in our country we can continue to surprise you and please you.
Lol, that is SO German....they actually don't think they've done anything wrong, they don't mean to be like that... I've seen them trample the elderly on the way on to trains...but their behaviour on Holiday is unbelievable sometimes....they seem to save it up lol
Thanks for telling your story to us all. With your kind attitude, you will always have a special place on this island with the rest of us. Take care!
Many may not agree with the numbers coming here, we are a small country after all. This doesn't mean we have animosity to individuals. We are all humans at the end of the day.
“I am from Soviet Union” What does that mean? The Soviet Union is not a thing, any more and it was a big place, made up of many countries.
As a british man all i can say is these are the type of people we want in our country not extremist i love this guy so kind and polite i can feel his peaceful energy through the video 😊
This fella is a perfect example of positive imagination 🫡🏴
I think it's because the social contract broke down. The older generation (outside of natural progress of technology) has had it better than us in terms of asset ownership (houses), access to benefits such as lower/free tuition and an unsustainable pension scheme we have to pay into. There's also little insults like them supporting conscription for younger people and nimbyism preventing younger people buying houses. I myself have built up a bit of an apathetic attitude to the older generation. I'm not pushing into people or being rude to them in person. But I don't care about their problems because they don't care about mine. I fortunately have a good job but many people don't and in a world where you're trying to survive it's probably harder. Also policing has broken down, I remember going to Tesco with a guy blatantly stealing. I helped hold the thief down and the store person said it's fine to let him go. I asked.. are you sure? and he said yes. After I asked why not just call the police and wait for them to arrest him, he told me the police would do nothing. I don't think this is an issue against foreigners as much as it is just general dissatisfaction, it happens to non foreigners too.
Although this is a London centric view, it's funny because when I leave London people are a lot more polite.
Corner shops were great back in the day when everything was very regulated, they'd be run by local people you knew, and because of that everything was clean and orderly, but that was the 70s and 80s,now they are just full of junk food and drinks, and the owners certainly are not local
It's a similar to the difference between Southern Americans and North Eastern Americans like New York and New Jersey. :D
Jesus Christ loves you ❤ Believe in your heart that he died for your sins and was raised again conquering death and you will be saved receiving eternal everlasting life abundantly. All that’s left is to repent from sin ✝❤
I love a corner shop - they often sell cheap fresh sandwiches from local suppliers, plus snacks you can’t find anywhere else for eg. Snaps (crisps from my childhood) ~ it’s not all bad 😊
I'm from the Midlands and i can honestly say that anyone i ever encounter basically anyone, for any reason, i will likely have a bit of a chat with them. And i'd say about 75% of the time we'll both be smiling about something by the end. Its abnormally friendly over here, i dont think people the world over realise how easy it is to strike up a conversation with a British person AND for that convo to be jovial :) (There are some miserable fu*kers, but we laugh at them too 😂) Oh and shoving someone at supermarkets? If someone is looking at something i want, i'll do a lap. Get it when its clear :)
Pushing people in a supermarket will have you escorted out by security in the UK.
Good luck to you my friend. Hope you are happy wherever you go.
20 years and you cant drop the accent?
The differences are funny. The breakfast room in a hotel can be hilarious.
still dont push each other in supermarkets... whats changed is they let millions of foreigners in every year. country has gone to shit. needs put right, sorry folks you aint gotta go home... but you cant stay here
The eu hopefully!
Yea corner shops SUCK here too , one local shop caters for teens , vapes , sweets , energy drinks and snacks etc, The other two are now Morrison's mini markets . Not cheap but the quality is good . Lidl and Aldi prices have gone up 50% on many items since Brexit . e.g. Bread was 35p now 75p , Beans were 13p now 28p . Outrageous , Thanks Boris .
yes they all have mobile phones while driving. and the result? no one dies. because it doesnt matter its a nanny state scam
One thing I find very funny and a bit sad about Lithuanian people is when they came west they bought the biggest cars. Then used so much money to fuel them. I worked abroad and wanted to bring a good lot of money home to Ireland. I think if I bought a large car abroad then I would have saved very little money.
Yikes, this is completely motivated by hatred.
Corner shops and any takeaways,,,cook your own,,British and proud
Why don't India ever win the World Cup? Because every time they get a corner, they put a shop on it!
Only support white shop. We have to stick together.
Unless it’s Ukraine shop then avoid
