Steve Morse Band and Dixie Dregs
These are some clips I recorded from the performance of the Steve Morse Band and the Dixie Dregs on April 18, 2024 in Nashville, Tennessee. They also featured Jordan Rudess (Dream Theater) on Keyboards and Andy Wood as a special guest near the end. It was a tremendous show.

Bourgeois OMC Classic

Bourgeois Guitars *This video has no sound editing or enhancing, recorded straight from the microphone on my camera.* This OMC Classic is a perfect blend of sound, playability, and comfort. It packs a huge, crisp sound in a body that you can hold comfortably and play for hours. A perfect guitar for songwriters, hobbyists and performers who don’t want to compromise on sound quality, but who want...

We were part of a tour of Israel, and had the pleasure of hearing this young man play for us. It happened to be on his 12th birthday. The man and woman sitting behind him are Evertt and Ileene Huffard, who work for the Harding School of Theology. They were our group leaders.

I just got a Flip Ultra HD camera, and I figured what better way to test out the picture quality than on my cat?

We are getting a new roof on the office building, and I thought it might be worth documenting about 30 seconds of what the entire day is like when people are replacing your roof.

My #1 band - Dregs - Since I was 12. 46 years later and their stuff is still my go to Spotify playlist! They NEVER get old! I could glaze on forever but you get the point! Listen to I'm Freaking Out on Dregs of the Earth for a true masterpiece!
Is that the bassist from Joe Satriani band oh what a talent what a powerhouse combo
I saw them as an opener for Alvin Lee had never heard of them but I knew about Steve Morse being Kansas lead guitarist so I was expecting something special and it was .! Dallas convention center lower balcony awesome! Much Respect!!
Roger Glover is one of the nicest guys I met and he was the bassist on some of my favorite records, but it is so relieving listening to Morse and Dave LaRue together. Mana from heaven.

Steve is still absolutely incredible. 14:52 to 15:32 is brilliant
Could you ever come across a more humble down to earth musician than this man. No is the answer. Absolutely brilliant
Wow stringed UTOPIA THANKS 4 SHARING ❤😅
This just kicks my a** up and down the street......................
The best guitarman and the best bassist in the same stage!
I worked for Steve back in 1984 for a Gig where he was a 1 man show. The place was Club Manhattan in Spring Valley, NY. It was Steve his Guitar Rig and a small Amp plus a rack with 5 or 8 guitars and a cassette tape player that we mic'd up. I sat on the stage on a folding chair just to be there if he needed any help. Someone in the crowd kept after me wanting me to take a close up picture of Steve. Well Steve and i had talked about this very situation so i finally got Steve's attention and he just smiled at me. I knew it was time for the picture. I got about 3 feet from his hands and snapped 2 or more super close ups. He asked me to come with him the next night to his Carganey Hall Gig but unfortunately i was already on the call at Club Manhattan as i worked the stage crew there. I still wonder if I had gone and worked that Gig with him if I would have gotten the Gig as his guitar tech seeing Id just come off a 6 month Gig with Dicky Betts. I also wonder if that person still has those pictures I took that night at Manhattan. I got to meet and work for some amazing musicians between 1983 and 1986. Those days were amazing and a joy to work.
This is a terrific post. What cool experiences. Thanks for sharing!
Steve... This is from all Purple fans the other side of the pond.and wishing you well.

Вот это компания собралась! Легенды! Прекрасное видео с первых звуков "name dropping"❤
We used to go see Dixie Dregs play in bars around Atlanta in the mid-1970's! It's great to see that they are still together and rocking.

Some of the most skilled musicians on the planet!!!
I have seen the D. Dregs back in the 80,s twice , and yes they were amazing , just as they continue to be to this day! Thanks for sharing , and great music is a peace of mind thing!
Steve Morse is a monster. One of greatest electric guitar articulators of all time. He had to change his picking technique mid-stream due to arthritis. You can see how he alters his picking technique during those fast runs.
Andy Wood, !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
wow
Saw them yesterday, May 14 at the Patchogue Theater in Patchogue, NY. Phenomenal band, absolutely amazing show.
Приятно удивил Стив...Такая вменяемая музыка...
Por fin de reunion y gira ,Spain is maravellous .come on tour in Spain,we need you
Steve Morse will always be the best guitar player in Deep Purple
The first time I saw Steve Morse was with the Dixie Dregs at "My Father's Place" in Roslyn NY around 83 or so? It was around the "Unsung Heroes" era... I had never heard of them but a friend invited me... All I can say is WOW! Man I was blown away... And that's from a guy who was already listening to Mclaughlin, Coryell, Di Meola and other fusion masters...
❤❤❤ fantastic

When are you coming to the west coast?
Nothing better great music with some very old friends, best work through therapy I know! All my best wishes and prayers Steve!
Randy Cooke; when I was16/18 ish; I got to witness his mastery. I saw him with both Lee/Rik in the early 90'$. My dad owned a small lighting/production house in Windsor Ont. Headwater audio; Rick, Spinner, Spike/Zakoor all did audio at some point, and when I worked there, there was a live board mix on cassette of Emmett; I played the hell out of that! Randy rocked solid ass fawk. Gave me his Z4 stick's. Chewed to the bone, last time I spoke with him, was maybe 2002; playing for Sass, was with Zakoor. He may remember. ✌🏾🥁
Какой нудный однообразный гитарист.
No way? Where is Mr WEST on Bass?
Those of you who were watching this great show are the luckiest people. I really envy you guys.
Me too!
Steve and the Dregs are leaving a legacy that I will cherish forever.
Steve playing really well here prob the best I've seen him What is that thing Steve has on the beginning fret of the guitar?
In his interview with Rick Beato, he explains it is a string deadener so that they don't ring when he is playing specific runs. It is one of a unique design that he can put on and off very quickly.
1:54 Ahhhhh yahhhh!!!!
ALWAYS amazing and inspiring!
They sounded better 10 yrs ago .
Super Steve!!
Steve, go back to Deep Purple please!!!!
Thanks for sharing 👍👍👍👍
