What a privilege to be in the area just in time to capture the starlings. Shame it was not a little sunnier but I'm not complaining!

Early Sunday morning, nice weather, let's go and explore this piece of history. The ruins of a 12th century abbey, or nunnery, stand in a meadow beside the River Thames at Godstow, just north of the city. Godstow Abbey is famed as the burial place of 'Fair Rosamund' de Clifford, Henry II's mistress.
