Been playing for almost 50 years. I took two lessons. Teacher wasn't very patient, and he made me nervous, so I taught myself. No Internet, no tabs. Just a desire to learn and a whole lot of cool music to learn. Nope, no books either. Just kept expanding what I knew. It is possible to do!
