I just built one, with an Impact Precision Action, Bartlein 26" MTU Barrel, TriggerTech Diamond trigger, and a MPA DNS 5 muzzle brake, it's shooting consistent .38 in 5 shot groups with 109 ELD-MATCH ammo, I can only imagine if I had the action bedded and had someone work up the seating depth with reloads like this.

I think it’s a neat cartridge but i rather my 7rem, after looking through the comments and you see all over UA-cam people getting very wrapped up in the velocity of the prc, or lack there of! When I first brought my 7rem I ran it in the same way I do all my barrels and brass I like the first 100 to be mild before cranking it up. The velocity was only running at 2750 with a 162ELDM and I killed lots of deer with that first 100, with those bullets you don’t need as much velocity, I shot mature rutting bucks with complete pass threw at over 400yds I shot a red deer hind at 816 yds and dropped on the spot! So I believe that the 180eldm out of the prc at any of these velocities that you have seen will still be a hammer out to ranges further than 95% of hunters will shoot.

Higher velocity has nothing to do with better accuracy and let's not forget that accuracy is the goal. Ive been handloading since the 1970s and highest velocities are seldom most accurate. Keep your BS opinions because they aren't proven to bring home game out in the field.

As always I love your rifles, passion, and work ethic. Your rear bag interest me as I've been looking at them online lately. I'm needing to upgrade in particular for a McMillan MBR (30-338 Winchester) as it can be a struggle with gun handling and recoil management with my current generic rabbit ear protector. Do you prefer the sloped rear bag or do you sometimes use a flat top rear bag?

I dream of scopes this nice someday but have the razor 4.5x22x50 lht on a 6.5prc carbon waypoint that will shoot .75” and sometimes smaller just crazy light. My fn spr .308 has 15x viper and Harris and will shoot .3”s to .5”s cause it’s 1” barrel ina fixed Macmillan all bedded from fn. Great factory rifle. Mauser action. You’ve bout got it figured out…1 or 2 more seasons you’ll be there..😉

i got a cz usa 550 i had it out after 12 years to just check it ( make sure it still there in the hard case) it rifle the nra shoot screwed me over on all 5 shots were max score same hole it was that way out the box really little load work up really! ok now i know what neck turning and .2 th neck tension & strait ammo bullets & the pisser the plan brass from the bag back cut primer inside & nothing more tightest group same load all 10 reloads the group of bullets in a 20 dollar bag locally here bt 140 7mm i had bt tip & like 45 dollar a box over run stock like target shooting bullets & more different type & weight ( i felt like Canada i fixed guy roof i have zero money he bring out this fish real thing the 10 lure and colors i go out in lake put this thing with new battery's in it & i pull out the color at like 90 foot down it the twin to lure i used all summer got nothing) the 7mm prc it new rifle i bought & i got a 7mm Remington mag both with muzzle breaks [ ok i told Nra nothing I had better rifles at home then the cz-usa i though I do now in school my class mate grew up left school after i was out of school became a gun dealer & collector & died ps he left me stuff really!

😂 no one ever argued the 7 rem mag can’t keep up with the 7prc if done properly but a belted cartridge in a custom rifle is totally different then what Hornady has done for modern cartridges and what we can get off the shelf, regardless of how much marketing and sales Hornady has done they definitely hold their place in innovation and mainstreaming what we wanted, no thanks to rem mag.

I just learned a bunch of things I had never even thought of before. I had no idea barrels and receivers expand, brass ironing out imperfections and headspacing on the case itself versus the go gauge.

I have a bore scope made by the same company. It come with the better screen .its very handy and also noticeable better clarity.
