It's ubi hidden plans since syndicate until now, female protagonist are more interesting than men for most. Syndicate: Evie's persona was more mature than Jacob since she's the elder sister. That's why he's younger brother often childish and more aggressive in combat while the sister more stealthy. Origin: Most of the time player playing as Bayek than Aya but she's the one who has legacy later timeline in AC2 as Amunet's statue inside hidden room in Auditore Villa but nothing knowledge about Bayek's history. Odyssey & Valhalla: No matter which male or female protagonist that player choose, the female is the one who became canonical character in the story. Mirage: there's no other character to be playable except Basim, the male protagonist one who's villain in Valhalla. Shadows: since the girl character has agility and movement are close to Assassins, she's likely to be more use to play than the samurai one since he's not japanese. Ubi dislike men for reason, since there's leak photo about the staff, most of the are white womens and that's why.

@@RYOKUBE syndicate and origins are at least good. but the moment it hits greece, then saxon britain, that's when you can feel that things have gone to shit. evie frye's literally good as hell because she balances out her brother's stupidity while acting like a female assassin does: it is clear that she's more focused in her assassinations than her brother who's liked by many for drinking in pubs and having a gang Amunet's literally the founder of the hidden ones and literally is technically historical in their pages (she's my favorite female assassin) even if her husband's the one with the strength and overshadows her plots, she still has a good story. then you got the lasses from greece. if they had decided to at least deviate the two gender paths to have different stories ending up in the same instead of making a filler character in two genders, then making the unpicked gender just another random important person they met in life; they could've won the audience more .

@@RipaStar00 Nope. Though I can already see that Ubi doesn't learn. Stealth is worth nothing if Your main character can just casually deal with 4 warriors in an open combat. So I already know what gameplay is going to be like.

@@RipaStar00 Fair point. Though this doesn't feel correct in here. Mainly cause of tiny girl ninjas sneaking at night theme. They gone much further into sneaky sneaky Splinter Cell like stealth in this one, instead of social stealth in a daytime. Which makes it quite nonsense if ninja can simply LMB through the missions. Ubi had a chance to create one character as warrior and one as something else.. making both able to LMB through map, tells a lot about their poor gameplay design choices.

@@sephoroid we still dont know the difficulty levels, or how durable Naoe is. this gameplay was most likely toned down for the showcase. Ninja blending in crowd with all those weapons in day time wouldnt make any sense either, never has made in previous games either.

To be fair, Ghost of Tsushima also ripped off AC games

@@mdd04000 what’s funny is GoT didn’t even take place in mainland Japan but on the island of Tsushima, a small island which the mongols irl conquered completely within days. The devs also made Tsushima way bigger than it actually is irl.

I agree. We should’ve gotten 2 assassins. We don’t need a samurai who only does samurai stuff. I feel like everyone will play as Naoe because she has everything we’ve wanted in an AC game for a long time besides Mirage. Hidden blade, hood, & stealth.

Not an AC fan meself, but this game is the closest thing i can get for modern day Tenchu, so yeah Ninja for me as well.

I will play for both characters, because Assassin's creed is a game about our life and history, and there were not only assassins in it. The Assassins are just one iteration of a group of people fighting for freedom, just like the Templars. Learn some lore

@@g3lind211 I don't think he was, I'm not a historian by any means but I think he was a former slave that was in Japan for a couple of years and carried a sword for an actual samurai.

@@g3lind211 Actually I think he was forced to remain behind the Frontline of battle near the lord he carried weapons for. There isn't any record of him having any training or being in any combat. Plus 99 percent of samurais had surnames, he didn't. He was only in Japan for like 2 or 3 years. Which doesn't really matter anyway because it's a video game so it's not like it's gotta be pure factual history. People are more aggravated by the choice to make a samurai game in feudal Japan but not with a Japanese samurai.

No it's not prerendered in unity. You can see your customized character. Unity had real time cutscenes.

Yes, I think Ubisoft looked at their old ideas and they are adding them into shadows.

@@adolfovalente4601 1.grappling hook means got? 2.that "resolve" has been in the past ac games from before got 3. Multiple games have that red indicator ex Jedi fallen order for honor and other combat games

@@jaydenturner3756 1. there hasnt been a grappling hook in an ac game before so it DOES mean got 2. swordplay looks like a blander version of got 3. wannabe stance switcher and overall UI looks alot like a copycat 4. there is nothing wrong with taking inspiration from other games, however, just because it's feudal japan it doesnt mean that you should copy a beloved ip (ghost of tsushima) and overuse a once beloved ip (ac) and call it a day. 5.brother, i understand the game looks good but you can't deny that part of gameplay is very got like nor can you forget that Greedsoft nails first impressions with games
