The birth of modern day football comes from Sheffield e.g. Sheffield rules made in 1858-1877 when Sheffield FA and London FA 1863 rules unified both rules together in 1877 but 90% of rules are Sheffield rules and first football tournaments was in 1867 using Sheffield rules with 90% of same rules we have today

"It seems from these four accounts that at least 75 young Englishmen, or rather boys, and 4,500 boys and girls from Karnatak, were forcibly converted to Islam during Haidar’s reign. And this, be it remembered, is not the whole picture; the prisoners have noted down only what they experienced, saw, or heard. They could hear or see very little of what was going on around them. Yet, their accounts show that though Haidar practised tolerance, as a matter of policy, within the Kingdom of Mysore, he did not extend it to his new acquisitions or the prisoners of war." An excerpt from the book -Tipu as he really was, G. B. Mehendale. This was just one excerpt i put as example. Religious differences is such a mild way to put haider and tipu's reign of terror. Its like saying why did poland oppose germany during hitler's reign? Oh nothing just religious and ideological differences.

WW2, most of the Brittish East Asian fleet sunk, the Brittish people in the home islands were also on food rationing. Britts didn't treat anyone well- look up their response to the Irish potato famine. Maybe blame the Japanese for cutting off the supply of rice?

There was enough grains to feed the population but Churchill diverted the supplies to stockpile them while it was much needed in Bengal. He even mocked Bengalis when officials wrote to him that people are dying of hunger because of his decisions. He was a massive indophobic. India never had a famine before the British came and after they are left..

@@aum6032 India was always on famine and epidemic due to constant wars prior to British conquests. Churchill did write to Bengal governor to address the issue but ww2 tied up the resources and japanese occupation of burma made the catastrophe unavoidable. Hunger deaths are still prevalent in india. even this year three bengal labourers died in Chennai due to hunger.

@@PeepingTom-xy9di nope.. there was no record of any large scale famine in India prior to the arrival of the Brits.. wars happened but they never hurt the local non combatant people. Show one inscription or any record of famine in India before the Brits. Mind you, droughts are different phenomenon. The local kings handled those efficiently. But British diverted the supplies when needed the most and also forced the farmers to grow cash crops like jute and cotton instead of food crops for their industrial revolution which created the shortage of food.

It were j3wish marranos from portugal and spain starting and buying up the stock exchange of amsterdam with which they started the East IC. It was their goal to retake what they lost in spain and portugal as entrepreneurs and traders in everything after being kicked out in 1492 and take back via the dutch army and sailors also the west indies, carribeann curaçao being a stronghold of their slavetrade. The Dutch Golden Age was just a j3w financed sailing enterprise. They left for the City after having put a dutch king in place. it was not the britsh crown who took over, they just moved their assets to GB and later to Wall Street.

This is not the version I read. Clive inherited a ragtag mishmash of chancers, drunkards and gaolbirds and formed them into a cohesive force. Let's not also forget that Clive was a penpusher, not a soldier. I could go on, but this version is redolent of the current trend of 'gaslighting' (dreadful American word, but useful) the spectacular and heroic achievements of low-ranking ordinary Englishmen such as Clive, Drake, Nathaniel, Raleigh, Captain Smith et al into a dreary tale of preconceived extortion and sequestering of an avaricious and conscience free elite of piratical empire builders. It could not be further from the truth.
