This is so crushing to discover a one-in-a-million band and then find out the lead singer died. I was too young when Ian Curtis died, but this is what it must have been like for Joy Division fans.

I’ll always remember Eric fondly, before he was a professor and before he was in this band. Such a sweet boy, so soft-spoken, always took the time to say hello to me (I was extremely shy and kept to myself). Those were some of my favorite memories of college.
