Wilhelm Winter - Generation War

Hey guys this is my first "Tribute" or however you wanna call it. I'm still learning to use the cutting program properly but I hope you like the way it's done. I'd love to hear your feedback, also constructive criticism would be nice. The songs I used are from the Heavy Rain soundtrack:
1. Before the Storm
2. Ethan Mars' Main Theme
The reason why I chose to do a video about Generation War is because this mini series is well made and looks at the war in a different way.
I chose Wilhelm because he changes a lot during the course of the war. This video just concentrates on the first part of the mini series.
Actually Friedhelm is my favourite character but in my opinion the best video about him already exists. The video about him actually inspired me to do the Wilhelm one.
I know this is a completely different video from all the others I've done a few years ago but I just wanted to try something different. So have fun and thanks for watching!

poor family, poor men
When he took the brave Russian who nearly bested him in hand to hand combat out to the forest. I can't think of anything feeling more empty than shooting down a worthy adversary like a dog. No words, just the actor's performance relating that.
That's why I put the scene in the video and faded it to black and white. Because it is really disturbing and Volker Bruch as an actor really transports the sadness and regrets that Wilhelm feels.
Everybody loses in a war
What is shocking is Friehelm's transition into a stone cold killer.

Friedhelm was my favorite. He looks like the sensitive type that would love and care for you.
Until he wasn't........
i dont know this movie, but it looks like some wierd nazi propaganda
It's not a propaganda movie in my eyes. I understand that it might appear as such as it plays during the time but the characters do doubt the system and it gets quite obvious, that war is nothing great. None of the main characters enjoys it or sympathizes with the regime. One of the 5 main characters is jewish, so that the viewer can also see his experience.

Noch heute, 76 Jahre nach dem Krieg muss ich manchmal weinen um all die Menschen die verheizt wurden für nichts!!! Für paar irrsinnige Deppen und Fett gefressene Bonzen!!! Egal ob Deutsch, Russisch, polnisch usw. Ruht in Frieden ihr Lieben!!!!!!
Gibt aber Leute, die sind gerade 20 oder 30 und finden das alles super geil, weil ja der Adi die Autobahn gebaut hat, kda anns so schlimm net gewesen sein (Proleten-Dumm-Sprech). Andere spielen das alles am PC nach, da könnte ich auch kotzen.

First of all: Thanks for 100k views! Back in the day I planned doing 3 videos about Wilhelm but the only one that I ever finished is the one I uploaded. I was never happy with the second one so my plan came to a hold. I always had one scene in mind that I wanted to edit but never did. Maybe someday. :) Cheers!
