Thomas - Percy (He survives, but doesn't break his jaw and he gets saved by Emily.)
Edward and Henry - Donald And Douglas (Henry kills James)
Gordon - P.T Boomer (He is planning to take over Sodor and rid the NWR of engines smaller than him with James by his side. He later gets killed by Diesel 10.)
James - Oliver (The beast inside him is a demon, and he grows a new face whenever he wants to so he can still talk. He also has another form: his normal face with glowing red eyes.)
Percy - Thomas
Toby - Own character (He is seen with Percy)
Duck - Toby/Edward (He starts of as Toby, but he helps Arthur instead of running away. He gets to Knapford and takes Edward's role from there, so he lives due to not getting mutated or voices in his head.)
Donald and Douglas - Mavis and Daisy
Oliver - Toby (He has voices in his head instead of Fireface. He tells Duck to take care of Toad for him before his death.)
Emily - Edward (She escapes the blast with her own coaches instead of express coaches.)
Bill and Ben - Themselves
Fergus - Salty
Arthur - James/Edward (Arthur starts off as James, but he is pulling a goods train instead of coaches. When he and Duck arrive at Knapford, Arthur doesn't get mad at Emily. The trio stay together and Arthur takes Edward's role from there, so he doesn't go to Suddery to get mutated.)

Spencer - Gordon
Diesel - Duck

Salty - Own character (He leaves Brendam Docks with Murdoch)
