They are completely different beasts really, but neck pickup wise, you can get some of the qualities of a LP

@@Lordofmrak I think it's a very subjective question... What I might think, may not be the same for you. But... my LP is the best guitar I've ever played, for sound and feel. The HH Tele is nowhere near it... But for me having both made sense (I am no longer playing, due to a long term injury). That said, there are some overlapping similarities in sound (definitely not feeling though). If I was only having 2 guitars I'd keep my LP and traded the Tele HH for a Strat.

@@roddiculousguitar I understand it is very subjective, but that was one of my dilemmas: reducing the collection to just 2 guitars, one single coil and one humbucker, or p-90 and humbucker. And LPs are so expensive now... Thanks for sharing your opinion.

@Lordofmrak it's always a hard decision when you thin things out. What I would say about the Tele HH is that I hate the single coil split on the bridge pickup, it has no real character (to my ears). The neck single coil split is awesome and all positions in humbucker mode are great. If looking for an LP esque option though, you could do a lot worse than looking at the Yamaha Revstars.

I can't play much, due to an injury, so don't play live on stage. I do use the same settings playing at loud in a room/ studio though.
