Now I know how to properly cast a surf rod by visually seeing it, hopefully next beach trip we can actually cast out and catch something good! I hopped on Fishbrain and low and behold, there is another pond in my neighborhood that has had plenty of Bass hits. The pond I've been fishing has like 3 marks. lol. Glad to see a new member in the fishing community. In the winter, bass tend to slow down and move to deeper water where it’s warmer. They move a lot less and generally feed less. As a general rule use a technique that caters to the fish. In this instance, a suspending jerk bait, or ned rig could be affective. Keep it slow with lots of pauses

Hello! During winter I recommend something like a Texas rig or something that can get to the bottom, and work it slow, tight lines!
