Great video Gaz!
It turned out nice considering i wasn’t making too much of a concerted effort with this one! 😂
I love The Wrekin. I walk on it half a dozen times a year, even though I live nowhere near The Midlands. At 19:11, it's well worth going over the Little Hill, down the other side where there's a wider circular path that joins the one you come back on. I believe The Shropshire Way (my target to walk this year or next) carries on from there through Little Wenlock and on to Ironbridge...
It really is a great place! I will definitely try that one out next time. I don't live too far away so try and get there regularly!
@@BeardedBrummyHikingChronicles My parents used to take me to The Little Hill for picnics. Around 1986-87 the trees on the south slopes were all cut down. There used to be great views in all directions from there. Now you can hardly see a thing. It makes me feel my age 😆 (If you're curious what 37 years of tree growth looks like, that's it). I just watched your Letterbox video and from the "clue" and picture, I reckon you were yards from it at the bottom of the slope - that Yew tree you'd just passed when you said "fair play" at 18:58 looked like a good candidate to me.
@@georgem3553 we were so close! If we had of gone left through the muddy gate it would have taken us through the quarry! We actually walked to the car park we should have palmed on where it’s a mere stone throw away! The follow up video shows it all!
I definitely couldn't do this hike! 🩼
Found you!
Loved it. That path way about 15 mins in is incredible! Like a small valley! Brilliant!
Thank you my friend! Highly recommended if you fancy a nice easy walk!
Awesome mate!
Another good easy one if you fancy a day out my friend!
Hey Mark, thank you for watching.. it really is a dream cottage isn’t it! It must be so tranquil living there! But the more untrodden the path the better the explore!
When I started watching I thought, 'what can I possibly learn.' Well, you're another who likes to explore obscure paths - blimey paths that lead to incredibly dream like cottages. That was a picture alright. Can you imagine the nights and mornings - the still ones? Ah, heaven. Well, interesting to hear of the woods history - I checked it on the map. I imagine them pools were fish pools. Well, good going - enjoyed that. All the best. Mark
Cool video
Thanks my friend, kinda new to the whole UA-cam thing! 🙏
What a great discovery !! The countryside always surprises me to on my runs
And a very good introduction too, loved the contrast of the fire night sky. The great outdoor really does deliver
Cheers my friend, thanks for the subscribe and comments, I have just followed your channel too! 😊
@@BeardedBrummyHikingChronicles Thanks, we are all part of the outdoor exercise community
Full happy view there Gary. A dramatic start with you struggling to ascend the slope. But with each step you summited. Yeah, I remember how steep but thankfully I'm OK with heights. Fantastic range though eh all be it a bog bash on this occasion. But the jewel at the end of it was worth it. I must return back to this range and the falls - you've inspired me to do so. A great series. All the best. Mark
A thoroughly enjoyable day! Next week we have something a little tamer over Wenlock Edge where I introduce the Shropshire letterboxing.. Got lots of climbs planned!
@@BeardedBrummyHikingChronicles Good to hear of the day and the plans.
The heights would do me
Weirdly it only gets me if I’m close to an edge.. otherwise I’m ok! Once my head realises I can fall to my death that’s it I’m knackered! 😂
Mr Brummy I thoroughly enjoyed that. Firstly I went up there in 2013 with my dear late twin brother Paul and you brought back so many good memories. Besides this it was a reminder of what a fantastic valley and mountain it is. You did well there bog and all. I think most would be challenged breathing wise. It us up hill and steep at that. Well, excellent - part 2 now. All the best. Mark (Hereford)
Welcome Mark and thank you for your lovely comment. I am so glad it brought you some happy memories! It really is a thoroughly beautiful hike.. Part 2 will be live any minute now at time of writing and hope you enjoy it as much as the first half! :)
@@BeardedBrummyHikingChroniclesA real pleasure. Yeah food memories and I agree a beautiful hike. Sorry I missed the live broadcast - I'll follow up this weekend. Peace.
Too high for flat earthers !
Thank you my friend! I’ve been so tempted to roof tent the Defender and use it more as a mini camper!
Love this Gary! That Landrover is epic too!!! Nice to see travel vlogs like this :)
Nice one Gaz!
Cheers my friend, looking forward to Dinowic quarry at some point!
Subscribed, nice video, looking forward to part 2
