My self esteem has definitely improved over the years!! For a while I faked it till I made it, but right now what I do is do the work as much as I can in areas I'm not pleased in, and focus. Even on my bad days, I'm just like don't worry, you won't feel this way tomorrow, or oh no girl you cannot afford to feel this way about yourself, self-hate is expensive lmao but self-love is way cheaper. I also make it a habit to listen to female rap stars like Megan the Stallion and Flo Milli to get me going, they encourage me to talk my shit, pop out and show people y'know. This was an amazing video <3 I loved the "I am my beauty standard" point. Thank you Tobi!

Listen, I was happy to be let go from my organization and be so called "unemployed" until an undetermined amount of time. I literally put myself in a position to be forced out of my role as time got closer to being released. Once released, I finally had TIME to apply myself TO MYSELF, employ myself towards my talents and disassociate my identity from corporate identity. I wanted to see myself external to the shadow of myself that I was upholding. It has not been easy, but it has been thoroughly worth it. My journey has been relatively quiet, the news kept from many friends and even majority of my immediate family, so that I could keep my peace. Almost two years later, I still don't want to go back full time at all. I just want a part time role moving forward as I continue to actively build a business and apply myself towards my own creations and have time to write and read (what I actually like to do) and apply myself to that which I am actually so much more authentically talented. If I get a FT offer, I will consider it for expedited financial recovery reasons, to restore a few things, but it will only be worthwhile to me if it is remote so that I remain flexible.
