    Adjuster here, on my way to Florida now. There is a line item in xactimate (the insurance software) for custom cabinets. They should have used it. They should pay to match the bottoms being built to the top then pay to stain/restain all cabinets to match. RE the blue romex: Any romex that has been submerged is supposed to be replaced from IICRC standpoint.

    So my day job is working on catastrophe adjusting teams for insurance companies. I'm on standby for the hurricane but if you need help looking at your settlement stuff, I speak insurance. Feel free to contact me if you want. Also, fiber contractors are notorious for punching thru anything in their way, finishing the contract (which makes them responsible for repairs) then dissolving the company and starting a new one. Leaving everyone with repair bills hanging.

      What's up with not having a locater to mark where what is already there?

    • @bt1959
      @bt1959 Місяць тому

      @@soaring1 if you locate utilities it still would not have prevented this. They can locate where the sewer line is, but not individual taps. They use a signal running thru the wires to locate, sewer taps don't have that option. They'd have to run a beacon down everyone's drain to map it. However Fiber directional boring companies are not motivated to avoid anything. They're installing most of my county now and the water district has 2 guys just fixing their leaks full time.

    Wenn man einen Bohrhammer mit entsprechender Leistung verwendet macht am ende der Bohrer den größten Unterschied aus. Die Maschine kann nur schlagen und drehen (mehr oder weniger gut) doch wenn der Bohrer Müll ist, bring auch die beste Maschine nichts. Du kannst für kleines Geld gute Geräte kaufen darfst nur keine Wunder erwarten. Besonders vom beiliegenden Zubehör. Bin der Meinung der Bohrer macht die meiste Arbeit (min 60%?) den rest die Maschine. Ich bleibe bei günstigen Maschinen und bohrern im oberen Preissegment. Bisher fahre ich damit sehr gut.

    First time here, and also a first time fuel generator user. One question (from a newbie). I purchased a Champion to use for emergencies to power a portable 8,000BTU air conditioner and/or 5 cu ft min-freezer. The owner's manual says that this is a floating neutral generator and that to prevent electric shock, it needs to be 'grounded' using a copper rod, etc. Is that necessary, and did you ground yours? Thanks for your awesome video!

    • @BacktoCountry
      @BacktoCountry 3 місяці тому

      So the correct answer is “for safety it should be grounded” There is a grounding lug on the front of the generator and you can run a wire from that to a new rod or pre-existing. The truth is, no I have never run the ground and have had zero issues. But if we ever did have a fault, there is the risk. Thanks for watching, if you want to see how to put in a rod easily check out our video on grounding in our electrical installation videos
