Sorry but I don't have the answer to your question. The model belongs to a friend who visits just twice a year with a collection of different models every time. All I do know is that he always uses top quality precision servos in his models of this type.

Thanks for your comment. In answer to your question ths short answer is a very big NO! In fact, it's not even in the same continent! About 5,770 miles east - in Aragon, Northern Spain in the foothills of the Pyrenees mountains. See my other videos for a bigger view of the club.

Firstly, it's my friends model. He has flown a variety of 5FJ models from 3.4m to 4m Including Vladimirs Models Supra, Nan Explorer etc. From the moment he maidened the Joy 2.5m he was hooked and commented that it he favoured this model over all the others that he had flown and he absolutely loves it. I think that's all that needs to be said. I have yet to read anything bad about it and would buy one without hesitation if I had the money. I think the 2.5m models are gaining a lot of support.

Hi Martin, yes just one prop! This type of flying is called 3D Aerobatics; the planes are very light and paired with a powerful motor to give a very high power to weight ratio.

Thanks Stephen. Yes, the model is quite unique and flies extremely well. Our club site is a great place to fly and one of the best appointed in the country. I've not tried the model om a slope; there aren't many around here and those that do exist are more like sheer drops making model recovery very difficult if a mishap were to occur.

The wing span is 1.8m. It's not a very good glider without power unless there is strong thermal activity. I usually fly it with just enough power for some gently cruising as seen in the video.
