My dad was chief of the boat back in the day. Had a small crew and were all friends like a family. When dad pulled duty during the weekends, he would often take me with him, and I'd spend the night. I'd spend my time fishing off the catwalk platform. He joined the crew while it was stationed in Maine, and then we went to San Diego. It was a great childhood with good memories.

I have stood over that overhead walkway many a times in my life. It is such a great view as you can see the trains coming in from up to a mile away from either direction. Yes, I am a train addict. I can't help myself.

Hello Anavelgato, I like seeing all the rail fans out there with their tripods, along with the old guy with the rail scanner on his belt. But where is his camera? I'd like to come out there and rail fan with you all. I'm in Chicago though.

Hi Anavalgato, another great video. It's nice to see the old railfan man out there. He's truly a dedicated railfan. With his camera and all his equipment on his belt. Also good to see the train crew help out with the baggage. Sometime, I'd like to come out there and railfan with you guys. I'm in Chicago and there good train watching spots here too. But not as fun as Fullerton, CA.
