    I agree with Tristans point because if you’re 23 and have depression or your sad nobody is going to care therefore you’re going to have to find a way to deal with it yourself and perform at your work regardless.

      Fascinating analogy!

  • @bodyofhope
    @bodyofhope 19 днів тому

    Sadness and grief are healthy normal reactions when bad things happen. Depression can onset for many different reasons, or no reason whatsoever, and can be disabling. It usually effects your entire life, not just your emotional state. (Heavy grief and depression are very similar and grief can sometimes turn into depression.)

    • @DrMikeMah
      @DrMikeMah 18 днів тому

      Great definition! Although my opinion is that there is always a reason. Just sometimes it’s very difficult to discover and likely we’re unaware of it consciously.

    • @bodyofhope
      @bodyofhope 18 днів тому

      @DrMikeMah yes, "no reason" meaning no circumstantial trigger. But a mood disorder like Bipolar Disorder or a Chronic Illness can both cause sudden onset of depression without "cause" like sadness or grief. But yes you're correct that an underlying illness is still a cause in itself.

  • @evrebop
    @evrebop 19 днів тому

    Depression is a sadness that is throughout your body. It’s everywhere it’s a bag of hopelessness that’s on your chest and it’s heavy. It’s despair in your bones.

    Self Esteem - How you think/feel about yourself. Having high self esteem means having confidence in who you are while also allowing yourself to make mistakes and having compassion for yourself in those moments. Mistakes do not change your worth/value as a person.

    I have a very weird array of death dates in my graveyard.. I drew for 10 years and then abandoned it in 2023, and then we have stuff i did for a week and gave up on, then there's ideas I didn't even try and gave up on because I told myself it was too hard like knitting and crocheting (RIP, new residents of the graveyard)
