First FPV Flight (Fixed Wing)
Переглядів 6410 місяців тому
This was my first full FPV flight in my modified Carbon Cub. It really did feel like I was sitting in the cockpit! The hardest part was trying to gauge altitude for the landing. I had a spotter that helped call out my altitude to me. I'll get more comfortable with more practice. It's running a Walksnail Avatar system with SpeedyBee F405 Wing (iNav 6.1.1) and Matek ELRS receiver and M10 GPS. My ...

Dumas 28” Swamp Buggy Airboat
Переглядів 4392 роки тому
I’m starting to get some confidence to open up the throttle. I think this is around 75% on 3s lipo. It will take a 4s. It needs some trim tabs at the back to make it a bit more stable. Still lots of fun!
Dumas 28” Swamp Buggy ELECTRIC conversion
Переглядів 3182 роки тому
I built this airboat when I was about 10 years old and just converted it to electric. It was originally powered by an OS .21 nitro engine. Current specs: E-Flite Power 25 1250 kv motor HobbyWing Max10 SCT ESC (120 amp 4s capable) APC 9x6 electric prop 3s 5000 mah battery (good for about 15 minutes of runtime) 25kg waterproof mg servo I wasn’t sure if 3s power would be enough, so I spec’d everyt...
Extreme overhang test: CR-10s with Berd-Air
Переглядів 2,8 тис.6 років тому
This is a hard test for a printer since there is no support material and there are shallow angle overhangs everywhere. Berd-Air cooling is working well. Here's the model I used: www.thingiverse.com/thing:1856832

Interesting glider flight.
Now it sounds like a Tie Fighter
Nice!. Just received the original 1501 28" Swamp Buggy. New marine plywood should be here directly. Twin 4S electrics. One will push and one will pull, so far. The puller will have a shorter prop. The puller gets it in motion, then full throttle for the pusher to kick in with the bigger blade. Nitrous kick, with no smoke, hopefully. Have had this elec flight gear since 08, just laughing at me all the time. Time to make Time!!
5 years later I'll drop in as the first comment and say thank you for your design on printables. working on the download now!
Ha! That’s awesome. My muffler is still going strong today. Hope it works for you.
Hi Dan, Thanks for sharing this. Makes me want to get back into RC sail again. 👍
Thanks for watching 👍
Do you have a video showing it completed? I’m interested in seeing what it looks like finished.
I do on my Instagram: instagram.com/p/B1uvgkKp8_7/?igshid=MDJmNzVkMjY=
Is this a god damm?
Neat
From my pointe of vue it's okay. There can be places where is an issue. We have inportet the beawers back to Denmark, beginning fore 15 ears ago, and with great succes. In the long term they have to be regulatet becurse they dont have naturel ennemies . Thinh that somting the goverment take care of.🇩🇰👍
Add some beaver eating predators to the area, then add some predators that eat them predators. Then when the predators that have eaten the predators are overpopulated, just send humans.
This kid can not spell for his life lol

David Johnson sorry, David Attenborough was busy that day.
I love this cooling idea!!!
Bank beavers? I didn't see a lodge.
They're Canadian Beavers (Castor canadensis). They've got a lodge on the island.
Canadian eh? Thank you.

Looks like it is time for a beaver deceiver. Installed correctly, you control the level of the water and the beavers are as happy as can be. www.google.com/search?q=beaver+deceiver&oq=beaver+dec&aqs=chrome.1.69i57j0l5.9617j0j7&sourceid=chrome&ie=UTF-8
A lovely place 4 a beaver .
Nice use of a drone. Beautiful country!
Is that hissing sound the Berd-air cooling from the pipe? I’ve recently become interested in the Berd air but I’m trying to gauge how loud it is between the motor and the pipe.... really don’t want a loud system since the rest of my printers are virtually silent
Yes, it's not overly loud but it's not a quiet solution. My printer is in my furnace room. If you had it in a bedroom or an office it would probably be annoying.
If I had a boat, the first thing that I would do is clean up that lake by removing all the logs. Even stacking the logs along the banks of the lake would be an improvement. If you need some wood to keep warm during winter, you would be set. Otherwise, cut them up into acceptable sizes, and sell them. Then burn the wood in place on the beaver's dam. The smell of burnt wood would most likely give the beavers some measure of pause when they come to repair their dam. Maybe it will send them a message that someone or something doesn't want them there, and the lack of available wood within the lake would have them foraging at night for more. An alert night hunter could easily kill the rodents efficiently, and once removed, you could then remove the beaver's dam once and for all.
no
the beavers have every right to be here just as much as humans if not more…we are encroaching on them not the other way around
@@russellking9762 It doesn't matter about the beavers and what "rights" they have. About the only thing human beings can do is either shoot or relocate them such that their activities doesn't disrupt human progress. Your only other course of action is to have all humans - whom doesn't bring anything of value to human society - put to death so as to control the number of human beings in the world. Doing this would also help the beavers by not having humans in their neck of the woods. So which do you prefer be put to death or relocated - humans or beavers?

What are the exact benefits of the titan aero over tje standard extruder? I am planning to do this aswell. Does it improve print quality? Is the nozzle temp more consistent? Can it handle higher temp fillaments like polycarbonate? Also since it is a heavy direct extruder is it stable on the cr10? And lastly does it print flexible fillament like ninjaflex
CTRang045 Yes, to all of those things. The biggest benefits for me are more consistent extrusion (none of the boden tube BS), ability to print flexibles, and high temp plastics. The nozzle choices also give a lot of options for different materials like CF reinforced nylons. It has been a really good upgrade.
Allright. So im planning in upgrading my cr10 extruder and hotend to a direct and maybe dual extrusion setup. Should i go for the titan aero, or the flexion wich has direct dual extruder compatibility?
The Aero is available in mirrored setup if you want to dual extruder. I have no idea how good the flexion extruder is, but the aero has been bulletproof so far.
How was the install process for the Titan Aero on the CR10? Can you recommend a good guide, if possible?
Unfortunately, I don't have a good guide for you, but I'm sure if you ask in the Facebook CR-10 user group or on Reddit someone will help. It's not too hard. Just cut one wire at a time when you're splicing things together and you should be fine. I bought Deans connectors to make it easier to remove the whole assembly and that works well. Don't forget to print your mount first! :)
You can not drink beaver dam water. Stop saying it’s a wasted resource.
You can drink any water (except "heavy water"), once it's been purified. What do you think you drink every day? Purified toilet water. LOL Stop speaking of things you don't understand.
Mr Whizard look at all the trees killed by the dam
Of course water over the beaver dam can be filtered and treated to make it potable. What do you think exists in reservoirs? Fish, turtles, snakes, other critters. And yes they all pee and poop.
@@SaltiDawg2008 A guy peed in an open drinking water reservoir in Portland Oregon. Somehow they found out who he was and arrested him. Then they drained all 7 million gallons of water out of reservoir and did all kinds of stuff to sanitize it. And wouldn't you know it, a bird flew over the next week and pooped in the water and they did nothing.
@@funnyfarm5555 lol those folks in Oregon are about as bright as the guy claiming the water is undrinkable ....they trees died because they basically drowned ...no oxygen to the roots ....not because of the ingredients in the water...I am from south Louisiana and the only thing that kills Cypress and water tupelo(trees that grow in the water) down here is salt water and oil
Really thankful for upload this type of videos God will create everything including how to utilize water resources. humans should learn from animals
How can they did this with their small paws and teeth, unbelievable.
Where was this filmed?
diggumsmack2 near Haliburton, Ontario
Canada! Ayee!
Very cool video.
Nice!
Dan, good video, make sure you get lots of video if they break the beaver dam Okay pal!!!
Why would you break the beaver dam? That dam has been there for something on the order of at least 40 years. And there is evidence of there being a previous dam at the same site for hundreds of years. A beaver flooding an agricultural field,, flooding a road,, yeah, I can see that. But long established? It is a valid ecosystem. Leave it alone. Annnndd it IS how flat land is formed in valleys. Beavers build a dam,,, silts up,, beavers move on.
Local wildlife officers might install a leveling system if there is no current beaver population maintaining the dam and there is a risk to residents downstream. They do this often in Washington.
