Test video for the 2003 Cadillac Escalade engine and transmission.
Do I have to bleed brakes after I installing? I just bleed my brakes a couple weeks ago. Great video really helpful.
Shit man,how was bleeding the brakes afterwords??uhhh had to do mine after I did rotors/brakes all around u gotta go by each wheel according to accord lol 😆 manual I tried old school at 1st doing the passenger side rear line 1st,FAHHKK was I wrong!!😂😂😂
I just got one from eBay ($158). You make it look easy. Didn’t realize these things are so expensive. Gonna Charge up my cordless auto wrench and get to it.
you nailed it!!!
Any chance ur in NY to change this for me would pay of course
Fuck man this shit jst happened to me 😢 part looks easy to replace jst don’t know how to bleed my brakes 😢 am jst gonna sale my car 💔
Ok so all three of the lights ABS VSA and Brake light came on three days ago come off and comes back on. I just bought a new ABS module for 150 and just had my boy install it for 100$. I bled the brakes lines as well and put new brake fluid. All seems to be fine now
Do you know what seller on eBay? I need one too
Did you have to bleed the module too or just from the bleeder valves on the calipers?
@@MaraMarieBeauty I bought mine from my mechanic but any used parts store should be good and maybe ebay to
@@Quezdtb yes bro bleed from the module to
I got quoted to $2700. I got one on eBay for 200 . Question can i use the existing bracket ? Also, do you have to bleed the brakes ?
Should be three screws holding it to the bracket. The one I bought didn’t come with a bracket either. I’ll keep you posted putting it on tomorrow.
@@shamuswatson9632 You fix yours ??
My local Honda dealership quoted $2900 to replace this💀
Dealing with that right now!! What did you end up doing?!
Oh my god dude you just brang back some nightmares… I think I ended up buying a used VSA module off eBay and throwing that in. I also ended up getting the wheel speed sensors and wheel bearings replaced in both front wheels. Hope that helps! .
@SlowGage Mines the module for sure, I'll either send in just the module removed from the pump to module masters, or I'll buy the whole thing for 1400 and install it myself.. I'm not paying $2750! Planning on keeping the car at least another 4 years so I may go the new route not sure yet.. talk to my buddy the mechanic this weekend find out!! Lol
Were the ABS, VSA and brake lights still on after the repair? After installing my lights are still one. I'm wondering if I have to take it somewhere to clear the code.
Yes , you need to clear the codes after installation
Thank you for the video, I am looking for an ABS controller for my Honda Accord Cupe 2.4, Any recommendations from should i get it.
Im lookn for my 3.5 any luck
Great content. I’m having this issue as well. By any chance do you have a link to where I can buy the abs module??
Honda dealership for $1200 + or rebuild for around 200 or Ebay 160
Did you need to reprogram the module??
Nope - just reset the codes
I have vsa/brake/abs lights on mine I wanna say the same issue I was told the module had to be programmed? Was it plug in play or you had to get it programmed
same question i have the same error and they told me that as well
@@negroconbazuca1621 u need abs module soon as I bought it solve the issue if u have a chuck an eddies around they should have one find one with low miles
Gunner?
I have the same issue on my 2012 accord. Shop quoted me 2k for the repair and I said nope on that one. How difficult was it to replace the VSA Modulator? I'm a novice when it comes to working on cars but from your video it doesn't look super labor intensive.
Not that difficult! 3 bolts and a couple of brake lines. Doesn’t need to be reprogrammed but the codes had to be reset .
There was no need to replace the abs pump. Replacing the controls module only should've been sufficient.
They sold the entire module w/ the pump as an assembly and it worked . 🤷♂️
@@EstebanLopez-pt3ug yeah but you didn't need to replace the whole assembly as just replacing the control module itself would've sufficed. You could've saved yourself the hassle of bleeding the brakes. It's just four bolts to separate the control module from the solenoid valve block.
Is there a video you recommend on that? I know doing the lower bolts will be too hard for me
Thanks for the video! So the bleeding is just normal right? you dont need the scan tool for the bleed job?
There’s no need to replace the whole abs system. Just replacing the control module should be sufficient.
Hi, Is update the software can really fix this issue ?? if yes, what about i replace with some old Modul VSA another vehicle ?? Is that can fix issue too??
Im not sure, that was one of the solutions. I just went ahead and replaced the module and reset the codes. Worked well for me
How much was the module? I have the same issue with a 2012 pilot
No way to get to the two bottom bolts with that wrench. Literally the last two bolts I need to remove and no way to get to them. Everything in the way no way to turn the wrench smh
I used a ratchet and 10 mm socket combo. See video at 2:36
what is the Part#?
I don’t have that information handy, the way to find out for free, is to call your local dealers part department, give them your vin number and ask them for the part number of the part you need.
Great video because I’m going thru this now. Comes on once a week now. I have code 121-11 65-11 and 61-11. Changing the module cleared your 61-11 code too?
Replacing the ABS module and clearing the codes fixed the issue. It no longer came back on.
Just normal bleed procedure?
Yes normal brake bleeding procedure
After bleeding do you have to apply more brake fluid? Sorry novice here
@@hiteshsachdeva636 yes
Im having the same code
That’s why I made this video! Lol hopefully it helps!
Cleanest engine bay I've seen in ages.
Thank you! I’ll post a video soon on how to get yours just as clean
I wish i knew how to do this
That’s what the video is here for! Lol
Did you have to get ecu flashed ?
Nope! Didn’t have to get the ecu flashed
You only need to get the ECU flashed if the replacement ABS module is physically compatible but from a Honda of a different trim and/or lineup (for exampled from civic LX to EX or from accord to civic). If the module is from an identical lineup and trim then there’s no need to Program anything.
Still working well? How many miles have you put on it since this part ? Any light come back on?
Still working well! Lights never came back on.
